Pleasant enough stay, basic apartments but fine for sc. Very quiet at the pool which was nice but if you want noise then the strip of Agia Marina is only two minutes walk away with decent beaches and a host of restaurants. We stayed in Crete a few years ago but over on the east side,Istron Bay, and found it much... More

The staff are very friendly and helps you if there is anything you want to ask about. The apartments are spacious, but the furniture is quite simple. The best thing is that its so quiet, a perfect hotel for a relaxing holiday.

We ended up at Ekavi Apartments by default as we had been over booked at our chosen apartments in Gerani. Although the apartments are not luxurious, they are basic, but clean, typical Greek S/C apartments, which mainly cater to the Scandinavian market. They are located up a gentle hill, just past the local cemetery! Don't expect matching crockery, cutlery etc.The... More

Ekavi is nothing very special but it is ok place to stay in Agia Marina. It´s situated on a hill, not too far away from the beach. My room was on the 3rd floor and had a nice sea view. Room was spacious, clean and quite recently renovated. Air conditioning was effective. I didn´t use pool or pool bar services... More

I was quite astonished after having read the first review... I've no idea, maybe the owners changed, but the whole family running the place are the nicest, the most hospitable people I've ever met. The bar closes till "the last customer", the staff always willing to help, chat, joke and tell stories of Cretan life. I dare say it was... More

don't expect a friendly welcome after a long flight and a 3 hour delay.this hotel is run by one very grumpy lady.although the room was ok it did need a good clean but the view overlooking the sea made up for that.its a very private hotel built on a hill.the bar is usually open till around 12:30 but if your... We stayed at Ekavi 2 weeks in May 02.When we arrived,we were not so impressed, but the new owners had just made it quickly ready, and set about doing extensive rebuilding and redevelopment work. That said,we met nice people and enjoyed our stay in clean hospitable surroundings. We revisited to have a peep in May 03 and saw the two new appartment blocks... More
