Definitely recommend this little gem for your stay on Easter Island. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. The owners are friendly and gregarious without being overbearing. Bill picked us up at the airport and gave us a quick tour around Hanga Roa before checking us into the hotel. Edith was also very nice and makes delicious filling breakfasts every... More

I booked via back in Feb 2015 with owner-Edith back & forth with email communication. She responses to emsils within 48 hours which I'm delighted compared to other hotel b&b around Hanga Roa village area. Edith answered all my inquiries via email replies. She gave me a 10% discount room for 5 nights stay since I mentioned I was an... More

For easter island you have two choices, incredibly expensive accomodation or pretty basic hotels. We chose the Tuaraa and I am very pleased that we did. The rooms are simple but very clean, no TV or AC though we did not miss either, the hotel is perfectly located and the hosts, Bill and Edith could not have been more attentive.... More

This is not a fancy destination hotel, but that's not what this homey hotel tries to be. It's a nice, roomy, friendly place that's an ideal base for exploring this fascinating island. The only downside was the loud music from the restaurant next door, but the music was great and they turned down the volume after 11:30 PM.

As others have said, the Taura'a is cozy B&B in the heart of Hanga Roa. The rooms are basic but clean. The proprietors, Bill (an Aussie) and his wife Edith (a Rapa Nui native) are very pleasant and really try to accommodate their guests. A hot breakfast is served every morning with locally-grown fruits and wonderful, warm French bread from... More

We had a fantastic stay at Taura'a Hotel! Edith was waiting for us when we collected our luggage after our flight landed (with traditional leis- a very common welcome in Polynesia and on Easter Island), and she gave us a really helpful driving tour of Hanga Roa so we could start to acquaint ourselves with the town and get a... My husband and I stayed in Taura'a hotel in April 2015. We contacted the hotel prior to our arrival to arrange airport pick up and our e-mail was answered promptly, within 24 hours. On arrival, Edith and Bill were waiting for us at the airport and welcomed us with flower necklaces (made for great photos). As other travelers mentioned, they... More

We very much enjoyed our stay. Bill is a superb tour guide and raconteur. Edith was gracious and was able to help us out when we were delayed 1 day, before arrival, due to airline troubles. This is our second stay and we enjoyed it even more than the first. There were 3 people in our party and we were... More

We stayed as a family of four 9 nights at the Hotel owned by Edith and Bill and we can only say that we enjoyed the stay alot! Edith took care of her granddaughter and our 2 kids could join in with no bounderies, ice, movies and everything else included. Yes, to be frank, the communication with Edith could at... More

Ok people, this is Easter Island so don't expect air conditioning like you have in the States nor will you always have reliable Wifi. However you'll get in its place true island charm, a breakfast that will knock you socks off, airport pickup and drop off gratis and a the perfect location to explore the little town also within walking...
