My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Kahina Lodge for 2 nights. Abby, the owner, picked us up at the airport and gave us a short tour of the town in her truck. When we arrived at the lodge, we were surprised at how spacious and bright the room was. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We... More

Many thanks to Abby and her husband for everything. Abby collected me from the airport and gave me a tour of the town before taking me to their house. It's located within easy walking distance of all town facilities but away from the noise. They have three guest rooms, mine was very spacious with a private bathroom, and a great... More

The rooms are big and nice with a big garden. The place has almost everything you will need on the island. Good location, great service, nice breakfast and very lovely family. The owner Abby is a Rapa Nui, she's lovely, warm and helpful. She speaks Rapa Nui, Spanish, French and Engligh, so perfect communication. Her kids are really cute as... More

Although we came without a booking the welcome was very warm. Room and bathroom are big and you can sit outside too. Breakfast was good, but what we liked best was that there was always advice on touristic questions. Arrangements were made quickly and always worked. We were well adviced when we needed medical help. We would stay in this... More

We were pleased when we arrived at the airport in Hanga Roa to be greeted by our hosts from the Kahina Lodge. Soane and Abby were warm and friendly. Soane immediately took us on a quick tour of the town and was full of information about the history of Rapa Nui and what we should or should not do during... More

They sell it as a hotel, but it's not even a Hostel. In fact Kahina is a two rooms only built at a family's place. They claim to be a family place but they are not. The site http://www.kahinalodge.com/en/ do not translate the bad infrastructure I found there, as much as the unpolitness treatment we receved from Wallis the owner's... More
