Puku Vai is a modern hotel built in an attractive traditional style but with modern amenities such as air conditioning and free wifi. Our stay was only 3 nights but we would have been happy to stay much longer. Our room was clean and very comfortable. There is a beautifully landscaped garden and swimming pool. The staff are friendly and... More

Super friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good wine, working wifi and AC at a very competitive price. We liked the location for it was within walking distance to the airport. Hearing planes was not a problem, in fact it was convenient for check in & out. Food was good. A big shout out to Jakko & Sandra for making us feel... More

When we first saw the hotel we thought it should be called Runway View but soon realised that there is only one plane a day (except for Mondays) and we were generally out when landing and take-off took place. The hotel is wonderful. The staff went the extra bit to make life easier and nicer and even when we had... More

We stayed over Christmas 2015 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I'd certainly agree that the staff are brilliant. Booking dinner over Christmas was a complicated business but the ever helpful Natalie helped us out and saw to it we visited some excellent restaurants. The rooms are big and spacious, we didnt need the air conditioning for our stay but I can... More

It was very warm when we travelled. So the air conditioning was very welcome. The rooms are clean and of a good size. You shower in the bath tub, water temperature and pressure are very good. The pool is very nice and appears to be clean. We had it to ourselves most of the time (I guess we were lucky).... More

Possibly the best and most helpful staff we've ever encountered on numerous trips. Hotel very well maintained. Nice pool. Very quiet Only issue is that it's not close to central Hanga Roa although it's only a 20 minute walk or 4 buck cab ride.

We spent four nights here in January of 2016. Wish it could have been 40! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were made to feel comfortable and welcome. I was a little worried we were going to be "problem" customers - we locked our key in the room, we accidentally pulled the shower curtain... More

This is a good hotel, spotlessly clean albeit a bit dated in terms of design. However, this strangely enough kinda fits with the whole Easter Island experience - makes you feel as though you really are in a remote tropical island. Important thing is that the rooms are huge, clean and beds are comfortable. All rooms have double doors that... More

This hotel is located very close to the airport (5 minute walk). It's a 30 minute walk or 2000 pesos (approx. $4) taxi ride to town, restaurants, and the ocean. The rooms are rather dark, beds not very comfortable, bathroom were clean, no complimentary water. Breakfasts are good and staff very friendly. Might want to consider something closer to the... Thank you for your comments! We're sorry to hear you did not appreciate our location. The very idea of Hotel PUKU VAI is to be conveniently located, a bit off from the noisy central area of Hanga Roa but always easily accessible – only a short walk from anything you might need! The closest supermarkets, pharmacy and good restaurants are... More
