Location is good - accessible to the town. The hotel looks nice from the outside but is disgusting in the rooms. It has this nice garden, very lush, the patio restaurant makes it look nice but the rooms are gross. I travel extensively and have never stayed in anything so dirty. Dirt was layered in the furniture, on the fan,... More

We already were in this hotel 14 years ago and choose the same (without knowing it!) They have expanded. The hotel main advantage is the good and central location. Rooms are bit stinky (moisture) but after one day of A/C it's better. The breakfast is rather poor although it improved during our stay... Overall it's ok price/value wise since you... More

We paid more for a room with air conditioning. I was glad to have it since someone else mentioned the walls being thin. The Internet was very poor since you are on Easter Island, and that's a good thing. For an internet addict, if you have an unlocked phone, you can walk a few blocks to an Entel store and... More

As others have mentioned, the hotel is at a great location in Hanga Roa. Quick walk to excellent ocean-side restaurants, the artisan market, rental cars, and grocery stores. Cab fare from IPC was $3,000 (we missed the driver they had sent for us). Jordi at the front desk was very knowledgable, friendly, and polite. Our basic room was comfortable, with... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had an okay time (read below for details). However, my entire stay was completely ruined on my third day by Annie, the hotel manager's wife. I was outside the front of the hotel in the sidewalk/parking lot area giving a cookie to one of the dogs who roam the downtown area... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was good...plenty of coffee, fresh fruit and bread. You could also have gam and eggs although as I am vegetarian they always gave me extra bread and fruit. Very helpful if you want to book tours, order a taxi or simply want information. The accommodation has... More

About four minutes walk from the ocean, and in the heart of the "city", the hotel is beautifully landscaped. Excellent collection of artefacts and sculptures. Ocean can be viewed over some tin roofs from a platform raised above the small pool. Spacious rooms with two queen-sized beds, fridge, TV - but no phone. If the room has an AC -... More

I came to Easter Island on business and have chosen the Hotel Manavai for my stay because of its location and facilities. First the Pros: - Location is perfect: the hotel is just one block away form Hanga Roa's main street, where there is a lot of commerce, great restaurants and mini-markets. It is also close to a beach where... More

Quite a nice family run hotel. Looks the part. Gorgeous tropical gardens and cane furniture with a small pool in the middle of lots of plants and palms. Lovely to look at. And very friendly helpful staff. Carlos in particular was fantastic and helped organise a couple of half day tours for me and also was the guide for the... More

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in low season. The owner of the hotel and his family are very friendly and helpful, especially Carlos (brother of owner, he is also a guide to the island). We got one of the superior rooms despite paying the normal room rate which was nice. The room and property are well kept... More
