We stayed here for 4 nights in April in the Cortland room that has its own bathroom. The room was wonderful with 2 windows giving a view of the countryside and birds around. Each morning the breakfast was amazing and Mary our host is the nicest person you will meet. You must try her homemade home tapped maple syrup. The 1910... More

It's a very big home - according to the owner just the right size - , very cozy in a rural, quiet setting. In the shared bathroom you find anything you probably could need... hair dryer, plaster , tampons, including a selection of shampoo, a body lotion for afterwards and, by the way, bath or shower - your choice. Breakfast... More

The is a beautiful, old house—originally built for a well-to-do family with servants. All the rooms and hallways are spacious, including our twin room. The shared bath is large and includes a tub with claw feet as well as a shower. A large, delicious breakfast was served on nice china. Even the granola is homemade. Mary advised us to see... More

We had the pleasure of spending a night at this B&B last week and was glad we did. Mary welcomed us into the inn and showed us to our lovely room. The room was furnished in period furniture and meticulously cleaned and neat. The country setting was quiet and relaxing. Mary helped us with our dinner plans and even got... More

To sit down to breakfast in a beautiful old home, be served by the most gracious hostess and be treated to maple syrup that came from the maple trees that you can see outside through the windows is just heaven. Mary's sense of fun and her sharp wit, along with her local knowledge, along with the most comfortable bed and... More

We booked our stay at the Carwarden (pronounced "Carden") Inn without ever having been there . . . it was charming. Our hostess met us in the leafy yard and made us feel right at home. She invited us to take our glass of wine to the front veranda which overlooked miles of farmland--so very peaceful and beautiful. Our room... More

We have a long term sub let for the summer in nearby Wolfville, and were enjoying an evening drive, partly to get away from the noise of a generator across the street ( result of Hurricane Arthur taking out an electric box- happily now resolved). As we passed this beautiful home, my husband popped that question. Luckily Mary had a... More

This is a traditional B&B in a peacefully serene area just off the beaten path. A Heritage property featuring spacious high ceilings, comfortable rooms, antiques and wide veranda with beautiful pastoral views. The hostess is a gem that must not be missed. Breakfast was unbelievable.

Recently my wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful Carwarden Bed and Breakfast in Port Williams Nova Scotia. The historic house is located in a rural area just outside the small town of Port Williams, which, in turn, is a ten minute drive from the university town of Wolfville. As would be expected, a car is... More

We stumbled across this place at the last minute and spent one night as we travelled through Port Williams. What a find. The house itself is beautiful, the bed was super comfy (we were in the Cortland Room) and the room had all the creature comforts but the best thing about this accommodation was the host, Mary. She was so... More
