I had the most wonderful time staying at the Pottery House. John and Glen were really lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Some of the conversations we had over the fantastic vegetarian breakfast was like chatting with old friends. The room was really lovely, it was decorated beautifully and being able to see a red squirrel from our room... more

This wonderful little B&B is located on the southern side of Loch Ness in a tiny little village located a short distance from Inverness. We stayed in the twin room and the Loch can be seen from the front window. The room itself was immaculate and beautifully presented. The bathroom is modern and spacious and is equipped with shampoo, soaps,... more

A wonderful place to stay. A stone's throw from the banks of loch ness. Wonderful spacious room and fantastic breakfast. Home made bread rolls and jam to die for. Helpful host who allowed us to keep our bikes in the garage. There are a good collection of birds and red squirrels that feed in the trees around the house to... more

We booked The Pottery House after reading a review in the Metro and to our delight the B&B lived up to it's reputation. The initial welcome was wonderful and we were made to feel at home straightaway. Glen and John seem to do this effortlessly, providing such careful attention to detail to the rooms, ideas of places to visit and... more

We visited for one night in May and found all to be top notch. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable and the setting is more like a well maintained country residence than a traditional B&B. The location is a bit out of town (Inverness) which is a plus in my book but a minutes walk to the Dores... more

Absolutely Stunning! We must say that the place is impeccable and beautiful and Glen and John were very welcoming and helpful. We have been to many B & Bs in various countries but this must be one of the best, if not the best! Don't even think twice and stay here as it will make your holiday even more special!... more

We stayed the weekend of the 16th May 2009 and loved every minute of it - it was worth the 9 hour drive ! Pottery house is very easy to find and is in an ideal location just accross the road from Loch ness and a 5 minute walk from the pub ( the food at the Dores inn is... more

A bit unnecessary to add any further comment to all the previous reviews, but this B.&B. deserves all praise for position, comfort, cleanliness, service and last, but absolutely not least, the seriously waist-challenging breakfasts served by John and Glen. The 'journal' of local beauty spots in every room was beautifully compiled and very helpful, as was the unobtrusive help and... more

My Husband and I went to the Pottery House for two nights, we didn't want to go home and we only live about 50miles away. We just wanted somewhere to relax and have a break away. That's exactly what we got and much more. We had the front room with a lovely view over the Loch. The whole house is... more
