This review is a bit overdue as I stayed here for a night last autumn with my friend on a leg of walking the Thames path. The accommodation was fine and we both got a good nights sleep with a fantastic breakfast at The Crown's sister pub around the corner. All of the staff we met were really friendly and... More

Just called in for drinks over the bank holiday. Even though they push their microbrewery on site , no beers available from this during the bank holiday?? Had visited some years previously and was then better. Seems popular with the locals protecting access to the bar. D&S 23/5/14

Stayed one night with friends while walking the Thames Path. the room was not overly clean and was in need of decoration. the bed was a bit bouncey. I kept hitting my head on the entrance to the bathroom. And I found a clump of hair on the carpet upon arrival. My room was over the pub entrance and was... More

Hi there, Not sure you did stay with us at The Crown Inn as we do not have rooms above the pub entrance and we do not serve breakfast in the pub. More

I rented a room and my friends rented the room next door. These are lovely little rooms outside, at the back of the pub. We stayed for two nights on the weekend of the Air Tattoo this year. On first arrival, I thought how lovely the rooms where. Perfect for what we needed. We had been up since 5.00am, outside... More

I found this to be a very friendly pub with a fantastic selection of ales. They had their own microbrewery out the back which we could see from the outside smoking area ( which is also very friendly and covered from the rain and wind). Their own ales were very reasonably priced, and lived up to the reputation I had... More

Revisited this pub a couple of times during our stay in Lechlade on Thames. Pub is small but staff and locals are really friendly. Far most the most welcoming in the area. Some good live music on the Saturday night too. Nice outside seating area. Pool table and jute box to the rear.

We always pop in here after being to Colleys restaurant across the way, staff are very pleasant the Pub is clean and warm, great selection of Ales and a stunning local one too. Its great to see non-chain or non-themed pubs still in existence in the UK as they are a dying breed. Always great to pop in here to... More

Stayed at the B&B yesterday on a particularly freezing night. We had booked the rooms well in advance as we were attending a friend's wedding. Firstly, there is no on-site parking and the parking in the Market Square is restricted to 2 hours, so you will need to find somewhere nearby that's suitable. On arrival at The Crown, we were... March 20th I'll be honest, my wife and I opened the door and thought "Oops!" It IS a basic, no frills "locals" bar but it did have two roaring log fires and it was pretty awful outside. I was just about to turn around when the landlord/barman (?) impressed me by moving swiftly away from warming his bum at the... More

A very friendly, lively little pub, with traditional old fashioned charm and decor. Lovely open fires, good selection of beers and other drinks, friendly service. Add to that the lovely beer garden, micro-brewery, pool table, jukebox and accommodation if required, and you have all the ingredients for a marvellous experience. (Sadly they no longer do the Sunday Lunch which is... More
