We stayed here on the last leg of our 2015 vacation. The house and grounds were as pretty as the pictures that have been posted. Just Gorgeous!! Our room was very interesting layout was comfortable but next time I would stay in a different room. We had the room with the port hole (you can see it in the TA... More

Booked a night at Barnsley to celebrate mine & my mum's birthday. I really wanted it to be special as it was my mum's 60th and she hasn't been very well lately. Everything about our stay was perfect. We had room 15 which was amazing, heated floors, a Turkish bath & a fabulous light which hung from the ceiling... Flowers... More

Lovely little getaway. Stunning suite and really enjoyable spa. Village Pub was great, with a fantastic selection of drinks and good wine list. Simply fantastic gin and spirits selection in the hotel, and Tomic the bartender was one of the most competent and knowledgable barmen I've ever encountered. Very helpful and friendly too, so 10/10 to him! Overall, possibly a... More

Did not stay, just had supper in the restaurant. Very average food at above average prices. It's a mismatch with the standard of hotel and the restaurant, which is a shame. Their pub across the road is better, better food and atmosphere.

Reception staff were very helpful when booking a dog-friendly room, and didn't charge extra as we brought her own bed. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment so we had breakfast and evening meals in the Village Pub, which was very friendly and welcomed our dog. It has been a wet and mild winter, and there was a very muddy farm... More

Was lucky enough to be whisked away here for a bit of R&R. Fabulous view of the house and grounds as you come through the gates and up the drive. The service was excellent and we were well looked after by Emma and her team. Spa treatments were wonderful and nice to relax in the heated pool outside after. Room... More

Just returned from a new year break. Barnsley House was a really nice surprise. Smaller than I thought it was going to be but a great and unique retreat that we really enjoyed. The management, led by Michele, gave us such a warm welcome on arrival and the place felt chic and relaxing from the start. The log fires were... More

In the Cotswolds for the half term break and wanted to go and enjoy an unhurried, pleasant and relaxed Sunday Lunch. Andrew (of Jesse's Bistro) suggested we visit Barnsley House and assured us we would be looked after. We duly found our way there and had a couple of v. pleasant G&T's while looking at the menus. A bottle of... More

Four of us had a most enjoyable lunch today in The Potager (main Barnsley House hotel restaurant) and will be back in the future as it is well worth a special journey to the Cotswolds. The location is amazing, with views from the restaurant across the hotel gardens - as other reviews have described. We had booked some weeks ago... More

We booked Barnsley house for the weekend for our wedding and I can honestly say that we could not have chosen a better venue. From the moment we made the initial equity to the day of the wedding we would blown away with the excellent customer service, planning and general expertise to make a wedding take place without any issues....
