Excellent place to stay that welcomes your dog as well. Very comfortable room, well equipped. Good selection of beers, look forward to returning when the weather is better and the brewery is ready. Will recommend to friends.

Apologies for the lateness of this but we have not long started putting on reviews and as many of the hotels we have rated have been while we have been walking The Thames Path we wanted to go back and give this the review it deserved.
We arrived here after a walk from the Thames Head with muddy boots and...

Delightful, spacious, modern room with very comfortable bed & good ensuite bathroom. The individual cafetiere & coffee was a very welcome touch, I wish more places attended to details in this way! The bar was lively & friendly with a very well stocked bar, particularly for beers, which pleased my husband no end. We had dinner in the bar &...

Quite luxurious rooms at back of this lovely pub. HUGE bed, modern bathroom. Very comfortable, low ceilinged, cosy. We could hear a little of our upstairs neighbours, but it didn't trouble us. Great 3 nights sleep
We stayed here on a Saturday night, arrived to a bustling pub atmosphere. Our room was very spacious and clean, we had a modern bathroom and very comfortable king bed. We tried a selection of ales in the pub, as they offer tasting sizes/paddles, a fun way of doing it - I don't like real ale but it makes it...

Stayed at the Red Lion in April 2012. Great traditional pub with many different real ales and also real cider, real perry and good wine list, excellent. If only all pubs were like this one!
Warm welcome, nice room at the back of pub in the converted stables. Decorated fairly recently, comfortable bed, good tea & coffee making facilities. Although...

The Red Lion Inn was a wonderful experience, and a nice place to bed down for the night after standing out in a sodden field doing falconry for a day!
The rooms are lovely clean and modern, with a small flat screen TV, big bed with ample blankets, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a lovely bathroom.
The...

My friend and I stayed here for the first night of our Thames Path walk and were amazed and delighted with the entire experience. We agree completely with everything the Two Fogies say in their February review (except that our shower curtain behaved very well). We stayed in Room 1, in the courtyard, and were very cosy, and impressed with...

We celebrated my partner's 60th birthday here sat 24th mar and ordered some bar snacks.which went down really well with the group and it could not have been better. All were impressed with the simplistic, old fashioned starters, like beef dripping on toast, and the whitebait was the best ever.We even had 2 converts, lol. The service in this gorgeous pub is without fault and the...

Called into The Red Lion by chance on our way to the West Midlands. Had no idea what to expect. Good bar and lunchtime menu - spoilt for choice. The Gloucester Sausage sandwich was almost too much for my wife but too nice to leave and the chips with my home cooked ham egg and chips were the best I...
