We spent 1 night here for the valentine weekend and it was great. The five course meal was excellent and the entertainment was good, however it finished at 10.30 pm that a side the views and the hotel are well worth a trip.

The hotel, especially lobby and pub area, are trully great. Open woodfires around and dito the smell. You can inmagine how it was around 1600. This hotel is a wee gem. The location is fantastic, lovely walks. The hotel was excellent in every way. Can't wait to return at some point. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in November 2011, we were very lucky with the weather as it was dry.
