My wife and I saw this hotel on the Scottish Hotel Awards website and, having viewed the rooms on the hotel's website, booked a dinner, bed and breakfast stay for a fantastic £119. The hotel's location is wonderful, being situated on the banks of the River Tay however, the rooms are not as shown on the website and do require... More

We stayed at Kenmore Hotel in the Stroban cottage. It had 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms for two couples and a toddler. It was perfect size, lots of space. Full kitchen, wonderful deck for eating outside. It had nice amenities and kitchen was well stocked for cooking in. Right across the street from the main hotel and pub, but still... More

Booked an overnight stay with dinner included. Initial room allocated..gate house was tatty and the carpet and wallpaper were grubby and looked as though they had been there for 20 years. Got the room changed which was slightly better and the only one available. Booked a table in the restaurant and ordered a prawn starter which looked good other than... More

The oldest hotel in Scotland, but a modern up to date restaurant and menu. A choice of sitting out front overlooking the square, in the bar areas inside, in the restaurant, on the balcony of the restaurant overlooking the river, on the picnic benches on the river bank or on the terrace. We chose the balcony option and had a... More

Visited twice, once for lunch and we were so impressed we returned for dinner 2 nights later. We ate both times in the Grill Room with a great view overlooking the River Tay. Excellent salmon ciabatta and ham with mozzarella panini for lunch, then steak and salmon for dinner. We could not fault these at all but I have not... More

Stayed a night as part of a visit to an area with happy family memories. This is a beautiful old building, so as expected the rooms weren't super modern - I would have been disappointed if they were! Clean with beautiful views across the river Tay. Lovely big bathroom, which was also clean. Our evening meal was wonderful with unusual... More

Another great weekend at Kenmore. Staff were fabulous, food was great. Only issue was the Public bar was closed on the Monday, but there are other bars in the hotel. Visitors must remember, this is the oldest Inn in Scotland, so it is a bit quirky, but superb.

The hotel is lovely with a great restaurant , good rates and friendly staff. There are many nice wee points not only to the hotel but also the surrounding area and the locals are great . The only points really to raise are that the bedrooms could all do with an upgrade along with the bathroom/ en-suites . Being a... More

Don't be put off by my 3 stars/average rating. The Kenmore Hotel has a lot going for it but it is in need of some updating. If you are used to all mod cons and 5* top class treatment then it is unlikely you will find it here. The hotel is in a beautiful location, situated right on the banks... More

We visited the Kenmore hotel in June for a 2 night stay. Generally we had a lovely stay and would recommend both the hotel and the location. The room and ensuite were large and comfortable. The décor of the room was old fashioned and could do with modernising including the curtains which did not meet in the middle. The TV... More
