Let's start with the good, a great setting and very welcoming owners. Good breakfast and easy to get to, a slice of the country without getting too far off the beaten track. The bad, we booked the family room due to a trip to Drayton Manor. Although the picture on the website does not disguise the room in any way... More

With a lake and abbey ruins in the grounds, you could not ask for a better setting. The B&B is also only 5 mins from Atherstone by car. The couple who run the place are very friendly and welcoming, the breakfasts are excellent, beds are large and comfortable (at least ours was). The rooms are a little shabby-genteel but this... More

Many thanks for your review - they really do help us to understand our guests better and what we should be changing. We're hoping to either make the room you stayed in, Merevale, an en suite, or knock through to the existing bathroom in the next year, but as we're listed, we have to jump through some hoops first! Thank... More

We spent a happy weekend here with our charming host Jenny who was an absolute delight and was extremely helpful. It is set in farmland with a ruined abbey in the back garden (hence the name) and a lake. We spent many happy hours in the garden, walking through the land and admiring the horses that the farm has. We... More

Thank you for your kind words on your stay at Abbey Farm. We're so pleased you enjoyed our gardens and outdoor space - we find it hard to go back inside if we've been outside during the day! Thank you also for the comments on the bathroom - as it's such an old building, the plumbing can be a bit... More

Beautiful B and B with gorgeous bedroom and enormous, comfortable bed. The location is so good for attending events at the NEC in Birmingham - just a 20 minute drive, so worth it to stay in this quiet, restful place surrounded by lovely grounds beside a lake where you can enjoy an evening walk. But the best bit is the... More

A great location with great views, animals (from cats to dogs to chickens to horses), massive rooms, a brilliant breakfast and lovely, helpful and welcoming hosts. Couldn't recommend it more highly, a bed an breakfast with real character in an amazing setting.

We stayed here when attending a wedding at Mythe Barn and just wished we'd had more time to enjoy it. Jenny and Bill were fantastic hosts and made us all feel so welcome, my 11 month old took a real shine to Bill and the other two children with us also said how kind our hosts were. The rooms were... A great place to relax and unwind. It has a lovely, large private garden next to the lake. Stunning views across the lake to the Hall in the distance. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and the English breakfast was fantastic with freshly laid eggs from the farm's chickens. At night, it is completely silent... More
