We stayed here for a family weekend away. 3 rooms were booked, one of which had problems with the room key not working so they were upgraded to a four poster room - bonus. The rooms were cosy enough and had recently been decorated so looked clean, it had everything you'd need for a comfortable few nights. We had food... More

I booked a double room on "Hotels.com" and pre-paid in full. Confirmation stated 194-q-foot double room with courtyard views, free wi-fi, etc so we were looking forward to our stay. When we arrived, they could not find our booking until we told them we booked on Hotels.com. The receptionist then found "our booking" and wanted a card pre-authorisation for the... More

Myself a friend and 2 small children had booked for afternoon tea, upon arriving we were shown to a very pleasant room where we would be having out afternoon tea. The service was good but they needed more staff on. The food was lovely and plentiful the soup itself was lovely. I would visit here again for food

The food is superb, have the Gourmet Burger or Burger with goats cheese in. They are brilliant. The desserts are good......however we have visited twice in 2 weeks, I had Eaton Mess both times (as so good 1st time) on the second occasion it was half the size and therefore no consistancy which is bad and they should assure standards... After reading all the reviews for this hotel I was a little apprehensive but I have to say our stay at this hotel has been lovely. We originally booked in for one night and on arrival was upgraded to a four poster room for no extra charge as there was a function downstairs and they didn't want us to be... More

One night stay. Booked through Booking.com at £46 for a double. Check in was ok, however keycard didn't work first time, so had to get it sorted by reception. Room was 214 and was ground floor (disabled). Large room. Decor - ok, but just tired and shabby around the edges. Tv in a strange position in relation to bed. Wifi... More

Stayed 1 night in January 2016 as visiting friends in the area. Have stayed previously we booked again as our dog came with us and hotel is dog friendly! Last time we stayed we had a ground floor room which overlooked car park at the back of the hotel and was very noisy due to a wedding going on and... More

The single room so incredibly small and tired looking, also dirty. The room overlooked the roof of the bar and I could hear word for word of peoples conversations until the bar closed. Overpriced and one of the worst single rooms I have paid for. Left after one night.

Our room was small but clean and comfortable. The NYE package was fabulous. We met the most fantastic people on our dinner table. The meal was delivered hot and very tasty. The entertainment was interactive and exceeded our expectations. Brunch offered at 10am until 12noon made a leisurely start to New Years Day 2016. The staff were friendly and helpful.... More

Just got back from what was our first New Years Eve away from the family. And can I say it was one of the best nights I've had in a long time. The food, staff, entertainment and room were all brilliant. I want to thank the staff for there hard work last night, and would say that I will be... More
