Was so happy with this hotel, it had so much character. The food prices were very good value and the staff were fabulous. We actually stayed here for a murder mystery night, which I was the only person to guess right! We also took friends and as I was in charge of the booking I was so pleased at how... More

I popped in here over Christmas after a walk for lunch. I couldn't fault the service or the prices. They were very busy, but the staff coped really well. They had some lovely local ales with a reasonable choice available. Well worth a visit.

I checked in every Monday and checked out every Friday from July to December 2014. The cost is very reasonable and the food very good. I got a corporate rate for working at a major local company. Whilst I only used the main hotel rooms 3 or 4 times the serviced Capello rooms next door were more than adequate. The... More

This year for the first time I booked a Christmas Day lunch for myself and my husband at the Atherstone Red Lion Hotel, Long Street, Atherstone, Warwickshire. I have to say that it was wonderful. From the time we were met on arrival until the time we left, the service was excellent. The meal itself was absolutely delicious - my... More

As others have mentioned, parking consists of a narrow car park around the back that can take about 10 cars and can be tight to manoeuvre for larger cars. There's a walk through a glass-enclosed courtyard dining area into reception, which is at the end of the bar. During my check-in there had been some error in which my reservation... More

Booked in here as it looked nice online. when we arrived we booked in only to find someone else had been booked in that room. We were given another room and on entering the door wouldn't fully open as it banged against the bed. That aside we left our luggage and went down for dinner and drinks. The food was... More

I stayed at the Red Lion for 4 nights recently. The atmosphere was very oldy worldy and christmassy. It was very welcoming, especially when the lovely gas fire was lit. The central conservatory is beautiful. The twin room we booked was spacious and comfortable. A kettle and tea were provided. The food in the hotel restaurant was very nice. The... More

Lovely staff, place full of character, a but creaky and draughty in places due to being listed. I stay every week and have been allocated lots of different rooms. OK, it's not Mariott quality for sure, but it's nice enough. Parking available, near to the shops, good food on tap, not expensive, clean and bug free!

I was looking for somewhere to rest my weary head with restaurant, Sky TV and close to where I was that afternoon. Didn't take long to home in on the Red Lion, which has undergone a major refit since last time I was there. Stayed in a very well appointed room which suited me very well, clean and up to... More

Had to work in this area for three days so after reading on here I booked this hotel. Overall appearance on arrival is very impressive, the two girls on reception were charming and very welcoming which was nice, our room was ok, two single beds as requested but on ground floor next to the car park. Ok for us guys... More
