Mum down to stay so wanted to treat her to a good meal not too far from home! Visited the Abercrave Inn on what turned out to be a busy Saturday night but a table was still found for our party of three at 8.15pm. Food was delicious and service extremely friendly - even met a fellow customer who I... More

Went to the abercrave inn for dinner, waiting staff were excellent to be fair, food good, absolutely disgusting attitude on Sue. Zero customer service skills, barmaid with tattoos laughed in my face. Appalling. No please or thank you when I paid the bill. Do not go here if you want a warm friendly welcome.

Stayed here when attending an off-road motorbike training course. It is a little stuck in the 80's in some ways, but that just adds to the character. The food was better than just "pub gub" - I had a lamb dish on my first night which was absolutely brilliant. Breakfasts were perfectly acceptable. The rooms do vary, some in the... More

Stayed here in August. There were a party of us eating here. The menu is a bit dated...but O.K. I had a rib-eye steak at £16.95 which I had to admit was very good..Nice and tender and cooked just the way it should be (rare). Unfortunately, the chips were a complete let-down. I think they had been left under a... More

Frozen veg and garlic bread.. over priced and when given their money the owners were round it like flies around poo! Didn't even get a goodbye! Terrible. This used to be my favorite place to go to and now it pains me to say that I would never return.

As a walking group we have stayed at the Abercrave Inn several times over quite a long period. We have found it to be a very welcoming comfortable base for visiting the Beacons. The food is well cooked and presented and very good value.

Some of the rooms were small but mine good size. Stayed whilst on BMW Off Road Skills course 10 minutes away. The course has a students meal on... More

We stayed hear whilst we did some trekking in the western end of the Brecon Beacons. The rooms are basic but tidy and comfortable. As for the restaurant, spot on, really good food. The staff were all great, yep you had to wait a bit for service, but then they were pretty busy both Friday and Saturday night. This can... More

Stayed just one night to attend a family wedding nearby. What a little gem of a hotel! Friendly service and great food, Stayed in one of the rooms in the main restaurant/hotel buliding, which was presented to a very high standard with facilities you would get from hotels twice the price. Added to this is a superb little beer garden,... More
