Stayed here on 26th and 27th Nov 2014. The bar and restaurant were all ready for Christmas and looked lovely. A lot of time and effort had gone into the decorations. My room was number 10 above the pub and was spotlessly clean and being a family room was huge. This was a business trip and I was made very... More

We use this restaurant occasionally, although fairly local to us. We never have trouble finding a table as they can always fit us in even though the restaurant is usually very busy of an evening. We like to sit in the bar area which is always lively and very friendly. Always a warm welcome. Nice menu and blackboard choices. Always... More

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the Abercrave Inn this past weekend (01/11/14) and were blown away for customer service, value for money and quality of food! We had the 'dinner, bed and breakfast' deal for £85 which was quite frankly amazing! We were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff who directed us to our room which was... More

Shown to a table. Handed the menus, within 2 minutes we were asked what we waned to eat (so not a lot of time to look at the menu!) Specifically asked one waiter how the chili dressing came out on the swordfish and was told it was seperate. So I said fine if have the swordfish. The dressing was over... More

Mum down to stay so wanted to treat her to a good meal not too far from home! Visited the Abercrave Inn on what turned out to be a busy Saturday night but a table was still found for our party of three at 8.15pm. Food was delicious and service extremely friendly - even met a fellow customer who I... More

Went to the abercrave inn for dinner, waiting staff were excellent to be fair, food good, absolutely disgusting attitude on Sue. Zero customer service skills, barmaid with tattoos laughed in my face. Appalling. No please or thank you when I paid the bill. Do not go here if you want a warm friendly welcome.

Stayed here when attending an off-road motorbike training course. It is a little stuck in the 80's in some ways, but that just adds to the character. The food was better than just "pub gub" - I had a lamb dish on my first night which was absolutely brilliant. Breakfasts were perfectly acceptable. The rooms do vary, some in the... More

Stayed here in August. There were a party of us eating here. The menu is a bit dated...but O.K. I had a rib-eye steak at £16.95 which I had to admit was very good..Nice and tender and cooked just the way it should be (rare). Unfortunately, the chips were a complete let-down. I think they had been left under a... More

Frozen veg and garlic bread.. over priced and when given their money the owners were round it like flies around poo! Didn't even get a goodbye! Terrible. This used to be my favorite place to go to and now it pains me to say that I would never return.

As a walking group we have stayed at the Abercrave Inn several times over quite a long period. We have found it to be a very welcoming comfortable base for visiting the Beacons. The food is well cooked and presented and very good value.
