If you are looking for elegance, this is not the right place. Very native and simple. Rooms aren't that spacious but they really maintain cleanliness all over the resort.

Hi! It's always been up to me to plan our family vacations. It's not a self appointed role mind you! But my hubby seems to blame me when nothing happens to our summer breaks. Being a bit paranoid about hygiene and my family's safety, it's pretty difficult to convince me to visit a place unless at least a dozen people...

My family and I stayed overnight in Panglao last April and a friend suggested that we stay in this resort so we did and it was a terrible choice.
I was with my daughter and relatives. Seven of us decided to get a room in the nearby resort named Alona Land since it was cheaper and my daughter and I...

The hotel is very situated, right on the beach. This is the only part of Alona beach where you can stay until night (No dinner table & chairs are installed) which is very pleasant.
Resort is very charming at first sight (Nature, bungalows, swimming pool...)
However, rooms smell extremely bad due to huge humidity. This is very unpleasant.

Nature lover will surely love this hotel. The mini-aviary and zoo surrounding the pool side as the huge trees and plants sway with the wind; give you a heavenly feeling.
The hotel has outdoor pool with sauna in the middle. You can ask them to switch the sauna on for a 200 peso-charge for an hour sauna treat.
The rooms...

Alona Tropical Beach Resort is well rated so we try it, this was a bad choice.
This resort is very well situated on the Alona beach but execpt if you can have a bungalow the view will be only coco trees. Trees are so tightly spaced that the area is dark and humid.
We spent 2 night in this resort....

We stayed 5 nights here after finally getting the reservation. The reservation system needs to be updated. We didn't get a reply at first by email. I recommend phoning. The room was OK, a little dark and very humid. No fridge or hot pot and the aircon from the room above dripped water, but it was very quiet at night...

Relatively ok resort in Alona. Nice location. Staff are generally nice, greeting you every now and then. Live music (oldies but goodies) every night. Food is so-so. No hot water. No remote control for the TV.
There were five of us that stayed at here for 2 nights in Feb 2012. It was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. We had a home base in cebu City for 2 weeks and wanted to get away to a nice resort for a few nights. We really wanted to avoid the big resorts on Mactan...

I was looking for a relaxing short vacation from work and I got it from our stay in Alona Tropical Beach Resort in Bohol last February 2012. The rooms and airport transfers were aptly priced and it was easy to make arrangements with them. The car was on time to pick us up from the airport and the 30-minute drive...
