It's a hotel, museum and library in one! We were picked-up by their hotel staffs at the airport. Upon our arrival we're greeted by their mediterranean inspired hotel and works of art around. Indeed this place is dashing with colors from every distinct art displays-paintings, sculptures and carefully managed interiors. Moving forward from the lobby, the hotel has its own... More

Honestly, we had a difficult time looking for a hotel in Bohol. We were surprised that their rates seemed to be pretty higher than in other Philippine destinations. Amarela was a bit higher than our usual hotel budget - at 4K a night. But we shelled out anyway since we decided earlier on that we want our Bohol vacation to... More

The best way to start or finish a Philippines honeymoon . Welcoming staff trying to give you anything they can , an amazing location, facilities, atmosphere but most of all the "feel like home" that you get very fast cause of the warm hospitality. The food is good but not amazing, fruit shakes incredibly made, prices are fair but not... More

Before I go into my review I would like to thank the staff at Amarela for being very helpful when arranging my ferry tickets from Cebu to Bohol. Not only did they book it for me but allowed me to pay for it on my arrival - goes beyond customer service in my opinion. We were picked up at the... More

The resort is well maintained, with flowers and vegetation, rooms are very clean and comfortable with all necessary facilities, the beach is clean with white sand. The sea water is clear and up to the knee for a long distance, so it is perfect for children. When it is getting deeper you can find sea arching, so proper shoes are... More

I can never forget our stay in Bohol, probably the best hotel/resort in Panglao. The hotel is well kept, clean, with a very relaxing environment. The service was great, from the airport pick up, to the front desk until we left for the airport. Amarela's resto has a very good menu and cuisine. They have a very good beach front... More

This is paradise! I have been to many nice hotels, but this hotel pretty much nailed it! The interior is stunningly beautiful: handpicked arts from Bohol locals and antiques from the island are scattered throughout the lobby and in the hotel rooms. Amarela Resort is very well kept, from the tidy rooms, to the lush garden and the private hotel... More

Agree with all the positives from previous reviews, lovely grounds, beach ok, pool nice but potentially could get crowded as not very big nor many sun loungers. Great base for tours eg Bohol country tour (Chocolate Hills, Loboc River and Tarzier Reserve). Pamilacan Island dolphin watching trip started at 5.30 am straight off the beach, while we didn't see any... More

The resort gets 5 stars in my book. Me & my husband needed a quiet beach retreat and Amarela delivered that and more. Walking in the resort gave me the feeling of walking into a Spanish-era -exquisitely appointed big house. Amarela was successful in promoting a consistent feeling of exclusivity and coziness. Our room was off of the library on... More

A review particularly about the Amarela’s restaurant: This would not be our first time to visit Amarela’s restaurant, in fact every time we are in Panglao we always make it a point to visit Amarela. The resort’s façade depicts a very Spanish/Filipino inspired home once you step inside the breath taking view of the sea simply captivates you. Staffs offer... More
