I'm not usually one for writing reviews but I had met the owner and felt after the great stay we had that I should. I first arrived in Alona with a friend and another traveller, we had a couple nights before our other friends arrived so we thought we'd check out the beach etc, we thought we'd wing it with... Great welcome! The owner is from England and is very helpful and careful...! Prices turned around 16€ for a room of 2 p. , which is actually a really correct price for the quality we had. There is also a common kitchen where you can cook everything you want. Wifi is also free and staff is very nice :-) !... More

We just stayed several nights in a double room and we were happy about our stay. The hotel is located on the main road, but still quiet. They have a beautiful garden and a terrace as well as a shared kitchen. The staff is nice and the food you can order was delicious. There was only cold water in the... More

A comfortable place with a sweet owner. Especially the kitchen is a plus, because only 5 minutes out of Alona Beach one finds a market with fresh fish! We bought a large white fish and invited some new friends over. We got stuck with preparing the fish, luckely our host came to the rescue. She cut us some nice filets... More

We stayed at this lovely little Inn earlier this year and we were very happy with the amenities. Staff were always helpful and the rooms were comfortable and there is even a kitchen you can cook in. Cost of the room was also reasonable compared to the rest of the Panglao hostels we checked out! The customer service was fortified... More

We got there after a long and exaucting 36 hours, at 22:00 PM. First of all, it has a very nice staff and it has a very warm and athmosphire. It wasn't expensive (compare to the 4 other places we've seen before in the island). Only 950 PHP per night for 2 persons with fan and ac (THE AC WASN'T... More

We had a nice time at the bungalow out back for a few days with reasonable facilities but spotty cable/wifi service. However, during light conversation with the owner's foreign friend/husband or whatever I got a long inflammatory lecture about how I was personally responsible for their typhoon weather as I'm an American and we rejected the Kyoto protocol. Of course,... More

Competitivly priced and although on noisy roadside, the inn is only 5 mins walk from Alona beach. The rooms have a shared bathroom and cold-water showers but the fact that you can cook and prepare your own food in the kitchen makes this place great value- the local restraunts vary in quality and are not that cheap. Towels can be... More

We stayed at the start of low season and had none of the problems mentioned. The room and bathrooms are very clean and well-furnished. The curtains could be a little darker and the bedlinen is pure polyester, but the price is low (for Alona Beach) so you can't complain.

Citadel alona Decent place off the beach - quiet and clean private rooms. All are shared showers. However for all rooms, there are only 2 male and 2 female showers.. Which was a bit annoying having to sometimes wait. If you want a cheap clean place, this is a good place. You can cook up in the kitchen, which is... More
