Stopped on the spur of the moment on the way home from dry 2 weeks holiday in NW Scotland - mainly camping. Had super night - fantastic food - dinner and breakfast; superb views; large clean comfortable double room and big bathroom. Staff went out of the way to make us feel welcome and we enjoyed the Thurs night live... More

The first and most overwhelming feature of this hotel is its stunning location, right on the edge on Loch Shiel, nestled far far away from the madding crowds, in the heart of the Scottish highlands! Designed as an old country manor/mansion with lawns going right down to the water, it doesn't get prettier! The interiors are beautifully elegant as well,... More

We've just been lucky enough to have a 4 night stay at Glenfinnnan House Hotel. We've been visiting the hotel since 2000, just before Manja and Duncan took over as Manager and Head Chef, and would recommend it to anyone (and frequently do!). The staff are very professional and friendly and make it feel like you are staying in the... More

The strength of this hotel is its unique and beautiful location. I stayed here as part of an intimate family group celebrating a special birthday with my husband and ten year old daughter. Overall, the hotel is very clean, the food is nicely cooked and well presented. Breakfast is superb with a varied choice. In many ways this is an... More

I so wanted this to be a 5 star review. Sadly they blew it with the bread charge. COME ON guys. You charge a LOT for a room. You serve an OUTSTANDING meal and you charge just under £3 each for some BREAD?????????? That is the problem with Scotland. So focused on the trivia that it misses the big picture.... More

What a place! We stayed here for 3 nights in April and were delighted with the accomodation and ambience of this wonderful hotel. The food was of a high quality in both the restaurant and the bar and the "craic" in the bar was great fun.The staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them. We were... More

We live just 13 miles from Glenfinnan and visit often for dinner and always wished we could stay over. So last night (15 April) we did and were not disappointed. Our room was lovely, spacious and nicely decorated , comfy bed. Bathroom was large with jacuzzi bath. We had dinner in the dining room which has beautiful views over the... More

Friendly atmosphere, beautiful setting. Staff is wonderful! All very positive and more than willing to help in any way needed. My husband and I enjoyed the house as well as the great food. Rooms were clean, warm and inviting. Thank you Duncan, Manja and staff for such a memorable stay! More

Here for a most amazing wedding. The setting is beautiful, overlooking the loch & Glenfinnan monument. The food is absolutely fab & well worth going there for, even if your not staying. The only down side was that our room was a bit shabby. Saying that, I think the rooms that had been renovated were very nice. Oh and a... More

This castle-like country house had excellent historic atmosphere with a well preserved 19th century interior. A large fire place in the lobby to read to morning paper by, a grand dining room with a fantastic view over the Loch, and large and unique rooms with the same nice historic feel, yet clean and tidy. The management was friendly, although the... More
