We had a delicious 3 course meal at the Glenfinnan House Hotel. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was outstanding. What really put the meal in my top 5 dining experiences of all time was the "Guest Ice Cream Guessing Game (GICGG)". We ordered the guest ice cream, and the waiter played along and did not reveal... I'm pleased to say that my overall experience of the hotel matched that of my previous visit. This time I'd needed to book very much in advance as I was planning a tour: I was told they had no offers at that early stage but that I could book on last year's prices.... which seemed to me a good deal.... Such a lovely hotel, steeped in history. Room was lovely with fantastic views across the loch. The food was amazing, with excellent service from friendly staff. Excellent location to visit the viaduct, monument and catch a glimpse of the steam train.

Went for 3 nights how lovely to walk in and find a large log fire, comfy chairs, helpful staff, the room was very nice and the bathroom out of this world with a lovely spa bath. The staff were wonderful we left some articles behind and they posted them 1st class back to us, if I had one gripe it... More

We we're staying in Self Catering accommodation and came across Glenfinnan House by recommendation. Popped along for a bite to eat and felt a little under dressed! Lovely restaurant (there is bar dining available too), great staff and the food was fantastic. I had the fillet steak (£30) which was worth every penny. The tomatoes tasted like little bursts of... A genuine country house hotel with comfortable and quaint facilities, open fires, no bedroom door keys (unless you insist), no TV - but there is WiFi! And fantastic views over the Glenfinnan Monument and the upper end of Loch Shiel, plus a good menu for dinner and excellent breakfast. When the staff heard it was our wedding anniversary they gave... GHH is just perfect in every regard. Its setting is beyond compare, right by the beautiful Loch Shiel and looking out toward the monument. Breathtaking. The hotel itself dots every 'i' and crosses every 't.' It is spotlessly clean and the food is delicious. There is really nowhere finer to stay.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon recently and were bowled over by this wonderful gem of a hotel. The staff were all so friendly. They were happy to chat to us about the local area, gave advice on which whisky to sample and helped me snap a sneaky picture of the deer playing in the garden. The... More

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for three nights in June on a Secret Escapes deal which cost around £85 per night including full Scottish breakfast. The hotel is right on the banks of Loch Shiel with magnificent views of the surrounding landscape and Ben Nevis in the distance. There is plenty of car parking and beautiful natural... More

My husband visited Glenfinnan House a decade ago and he was impressed. So he feel that he must take me there to see it with my own eyes. The hotel is well located at the lake shore with breathtaking view of the lake and the Glenfinnan monument. The service is efficient, warm and family like. And the breakfast is the... More
