We stayed for 3 nights this week. We ate in every night in the dining room as the food and service were so good. The windows open out to the lawns and the loch with the Glenfinnan Monument and mountains beyond. On the first night we had red deer wandering in front of the windows and strolling down to the... I was trying to work out just what The Glenfinnan House Hotel does so well to make it one of our favourite hotels that we have ever stayed in and then the word came to me......everything :-). They somehow manage to capture the historical atmosphere of days gone by combined with class but at the same time ensuring that there... More

Have just returned from our second stay here. This is a superb hotel, expertly run with great attention to detail. There are lots of things I could write about but I will just commend the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff, the open fire always blazing in the entrance hall, and particularly the cuisine - local produce prepared with... Planned a day kayaking on Loch Shiel on a glorious sunny March day. Had seen on Internet that Hotel is ok with using their car park as long as they're not busy. On arrival checked and friendly lady confirmed that was alright. After our trip we popped in and and a drink in the Hotel Bar, very friendly staff and... More

Had a lovely family stay at The Glenfinnan House Hotel last October half term. Our first visit to Scotland and the Hotel came on recommendation and it didn't disappoint. The Hotel is in its own grounds with stunning views over a Loch. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay a good one. The rooms were lovely and warm... More

I visited in early October for five days and I think of this lovely hotel each day. I stayed in the single room and it was just perfect. Manja and the staff were so kind and welcoming. The breakfasts were the most delicious as were the dinners. The hiking was so beautiful and the Jacobite monument and museum very informative.... More

We stayed at Glenfinnan House Hotel for 2 days and found it an absolutely fantastic place to stay. We enjoyed sunny days and warm nights and this good weather may have contributed to our thoughts on this hotel, but not so much. Situated beside Loch Shiel and a short distant from the Glenfinnan monument this hotel is considerably better than... More

Book a room with a view - its worth it! The trees, the jumping fish, the stars on a clear night - all add up to a relaxing holiday. The real fire to sit next to and read away the late afternoon before dinner was a real treat. Ths staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was so comfortable.... More

We were in Arisaig on holiday,, and decided to visit Glenfinnan House on the advice of David the owner of the Cnoc na Faire,,, it was well worth the round trip of 40+ miles. The Glenfinnan is pure magic, from the aroma of wood as you walk through the entrance, to the sumptuous decor and furnishings. The bar area is... More
