I travel quite a bit all over the West Coast of Scotland for work and regularly stay in small country hotels. This is, by far and away, the best country hotel I've stayed in. Hands down! From check in to check out they were both incredibly warm and inviting and even called me by name. That's a rarity. The evening... More

From the warmest of welcomes to outstanding food, I really can't rate the Princes House Hotel highly enough. Myself and my husband stayed at the hotel for 2 nights last week with our 10 month old and loved every minute of our stay. On arrival, the lovely Ina informed us that we had been upgraded, we were delighted with our... More

We were spending two weeks in the Highlands and this hotel was the first of three hotels we had booked. The standard of the hotel set a real benchmark for the rest of our visit. The food was excellent, freshly cooked to order and Ina made all her guests feel very welcome. Our room was at the front of the... More

Excellent small hotel within easy walking distance of the viaduct and monument (a really nice wee walk to start your day!) The food was unbelievable and the service very good indeed. You really felt very welcome indeed. The room was a bit small but very comfortable and we had no complaints about anything at all. Recommended for the food alone!... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in June 2014 for some hillwalking, and can't recommend it highly enough. Excellent accomodation, wonderfully friendly and welcoming owners, and set in a truly beautiful area. Food in particular was a highlight, with superb breakfasts (with a wide variety of options available) and high quality evening meals -- good quality local ingredients cooked very well,... More

This hotel has a distinct charm and is set in an incredibly beautiful area. The owners are extraordinarily personable and provide excellent accommodation and service. It is highly recommended for a pleasant stay and delicious breakfast. The view from the front rooms are very nice as well.

We stayed here for just one night on a round-Scotland-by-train trip in May 2014. Trudging the short walk from Glenfinnan Railway Station to the Hotel in the rain hardly put us in the right frame of mind BUT upon arrival the welcome we received more than raised our spirits. Ina made a point of welcoming us straight away. The check... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Loved our stay, it was very quiet, the food was great and the room was very comfortable. Ina and her son Alastair made a point of remembering our names and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is a 10 min walk from the glenfinnan monument and an easy drive to the ferry to the... More

Stopped for a meal on the way to fort William from mallaig having enjoyed a visit there a few years back. Laidback enough to stay in walking gear, this informality belies a seriously good restaurant. The welcome was warm and all staff exceptionally friendly and attentive, especially the female owner/manager. Both main courses were fabulous and the cheese plate beautifully... More

We stayed for a night on our trip to Skye. A family run hotel, very helpful and friendly owners. Our room was lovely with attractive decor. Food was excellent, a very comprehensive menu to cover all tastes, food sourced from local produce. Return again, yes please!
