Stayed here for the first time, having previously visited the south-west of Mallorca on a number of occasions. Puerto Pollensa, a smallish quiet town, with good bus and ferry connections is about 20 minutes walk along a pedestrian promenade by the edge of the sea. One reason that I booked at the Illa D'or was that they have waiter/waitress at... More

Hotel commands a great view of the Med but only has a very small beach area,it would be fine if they did not allow the apartment guests to use the hotel facilities the hotel was expensive and would have expected facilities only for hotel guests Food was very good with a good selection each night if I went again to... We selected this hotel mainly because of the view. So we decided to pay for Seaview about 60 EUR extra which is well worth it. However, if you look at a picture of the hotel you can notice that there are at least three different room types that have sea view. Rooms with larger window, rooms with balcony and rooms... More

Very disappointing meal at Illa D'or. We had asked for an a la carte meal but we're given only the option of a fixed price dinner. We had the roast lamb which was like canteen food : over done, smothered in a floury mint gravy. The pannecotta dessert was equally bad : rubbery with a syrupy berry sauce. Very disappointed... More

Dear Laura, Thanks for your review. I feel sorry that you are so disappointed with our food. We respect your opinion, but I regret that it just express your disappointment without any chance to us to improve or to the travellers community to help to understand our dinner. Due to your hard words I would like to explain that our... More

Very relaxed and informal hotel but with an old world charm. Rooms recently decorated with a fresh feel, breakfasts were good with lots of variety and the cocktail bar and terrace bar for lunch good although service at night could be slow. Smallish sun terrace did lead to a bit of a scrum for sun loungers.

My husband is confined to a wheelchair. This was our last holiday abroad because of his deteriorating health and we looked forward to a comfortable hotel by the sea with walks along the seafront. The hotel told me it was 'fine' for him wth the exception of the spa area. The tour operator sold us an adapted room. They all knew... More

We had a lovely couple of days here in mid October - most certainly helped by the beautiful weather. To stay at the Illa D'or had been an ambition for some time - and it didn't disappoint - in the main. We had a sea view room - although I wish we had booked a balcony. The rooms are very... More

Had a bad hotel experience in June at Puerto Pollenca paid £3,500 for two weeks at Hotel Uyal B&B and got an obscured sea view room. Not the Uyals fault I was ripped off by the Holiday company. However loved Puerto Pollenca so booked Illa D'Or for a week in bid October and very glad we did. We had a... More

I spent a week here at the beginning of October with my husband. We expected to have a good relaxing break and were happy to look forward to staying in a good hotel which over the years has had a reputation for quality & high standards and to pay appropriately for that. The location is excellent. Unfortunately, although there is... More

We have sadly returned home after nine nights in one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The Illa D'or maintains an air of tradition but everything is underpinned with quality. From the first welcome off the coach to the last goodbye, everyone was very friendly, professional and welcoming. We were extremely fortunate to be offered an upgraded... More
