This was our first stop on our tour of Tuscany, our other stops will have to go a long way to beat it!!!. The welcome was friendly from our host who used his English to good effect! Despite arriving mid afternoon we were offered a light lunch, a couple of bottles of prosecco and the obligatory cheese and ham later,... More

My wife and I have just arrived home after 3 nights at this well located hotel. First experience was the the road up to the hotel which I thought was fun ( my wife not so much). It is a 1st & 2nd gear trip up for about 10mins. If you are using gps make sure you use the alternative... More

Somewhat narrow drive to the top of this hill overlooking Monsummano Terme but well worth it when you get there. The 4 rooms and accompanying restaurant, La Foresteria, are formed out of the remains of an 11th century village and castle. A couple of other buildings and a still used chapel are also part of the site. The views over... More

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel a few times and are always happy to return. The rooms are well appointed and tastefully decorated. Our room and bathroom were quite small but comfortable. There is a lovely outside area where you can sit and enjoy the outstanding view. We ate at their terrace restaurant (La Foresteria) which was... More

Villa San Bastiano only has five rooms of which we occupied three. All rooms are well equipped, comfortable and stylish. The restaurant, La Foresteria, offers wonderful food, attentive service, great wines and a spectaculair view. Hotel and restaurant are on a hilltop, but don't worry about the road up. It's steep at places, but never dangerous, (although I would not... More

We spend 3 nights on our Italy tour in Villa San Bastiano which is conveniently located on a hill somewhere between Florence and Pisa, near by Pistoia. The hotel is very small, 5-6 rooms, very clean and very quiet. Our room was not so big, but comfortable enough for my wife and me, and our 6-years old daughter. The hotel... More

We spent 4 nights in this idyllic spot high in the Tuscan hills. The owner(s) were wonderful 'hosts', attentive to whatever was needed. Room (double on the 1st floor, with ensuite bathroom) was very comfortable. Breakfast, included, was served in the on-site restaurant, La Foresteria - a glorious way to start each day given the stupendous panoramic view available from... More
