All the glowing reviews below are completely justified. This really is a gem of a place. The welcome from Francesca and family is so personable, genuine and helpful you'll feel like you're staying with friends. They are all local and are passionate and immensely knowledgeable about the area and their hotel. Breakfasts were generous, with delicious coffee and fresh pastries... More

I have never stayed here but had lunch several times in this wonderfully renovated old farmhouse. The food is truly excellent and the family running the place are all charming and friendly. This place reminds you about how skiing in the Italian alps is supposed to be and it is still undestroyed from too many tourists. I hope it stays... More

We went ski-ing in March ( with fellow reviewers Neil A)--He has said it all but I will say it again. The hotel is a small beautifully restored italian alpine farm complex and despite its very genuine rustic charm with almost everything made of exposed old wood or rock it is warm and comfortable with excellent modern bathrooms with endless... We stayed at Le rascard for two weeks in March 2013. The chalet is around 20 metre ski from a red slope, the ski out is a little exciting but not too hard. should you be lucky enough to get a booking here ( they seem to be permanently booked up) I am sure you will love it. we are... More

We love Frantze Rascard and all the family who work there, they are as warm and welcoming as the hotel itself. It is absolutely wonderful to stay in such a beautiful and charming rascard, hidden amongst the trees just off the main piste to Champoluc. Above all we are made to feel like part of the family and are so... More

Yes!! This is a fabulous place to stay in every way. We have been visiting this area for years and always struck by how friendly everyone is. Our experience at that hotel is by far the best. From the moment you arrive met from the cable car by Luciano and escorted to the hotel just off the piste. Welcomed by... More

We have been visiting Champoluc for years for our skiing holiday and this is the first time we have stayed at Rascard Frantze, having met Francesca and her family many years ago. What a great place! The Rascard itself is warm, comfortable and inviting, big beds, huge duvets. But it is the welcoming hospitality, the care and the smiles, the... More

Others on tripadvisor have writtten what a wonderful base this is for a skiing holiday but we can vouch that this is also a fabulous place to base yourself for some summer hiking in this beautiful region in the Italian Alps. We arrived at Frantze after a 5 day hike staying at mountain huts in the area and felt immediately... More

Everything about this beautiful romantic hotel is superb. Franze is located on the mountain on the final piste which leads to Champoluc - its a lovely location. On arrival in Champoluc Francesca snowboarded down the mountain to meet us at the gondola and show us where to store our luggage so we could spend the afternoon skiing- a lovely touch... More

Frantze welcomes you to the Authenticity. Located just below the arrival of the gondola, which rises from Champoluc to Crest, the rascard Frantze is a hotel and restaurant set in an authentic building from 1721.
