If you like wine, or just need to get rid of every day stress there is not better place to go. Very cosy hotel wwith few rooms. Almost familiar atmosphere. We were in the new part of the hotel wich is ver modern, but with fireplaces all around. lot of "living rooms" in the hotel were you can enjoy in... More

This was my first time to the Douro Valley and 1st time to Portugal and this was our first night in the country. Although we arrived very late due to a missed flight connection, the hotel arranged to have local cheese and country sausage for us upon arrival. Combined with some of their own field vines wine we were treated... More

The wine cellars are very good and with a unique architecture, the food (dinner upon request) was very delicious too. The only dissapointment was the rooms (I stayed in the older part) for the price, as well as the pool service. The pool has no bar so the waiters have to make quaite a long path to the pool, moreover... More

The signposting to this wine lodge, a few kilometres outside the town of Regua, was excellent, for which we were grateful as it was pouring rain. In fact it rained solidly for the two days we stayed in the upper Douro valley. The scenery, even in the rain, was spectacular and the views from the hotel onto the terraced vineyards... More

Stayed for only 2 nights. Very friendly staff. Nice spacious room with a huge bathroom and a small balcony. Managed to fit in a vinotherapy massage (sounds exotic, but really was not), as well as a wine tasting session. We were even given the option to wine tread if we wanted to, but didn't have the right clothes at the... More

We only wish we had allotted more than one night at this beautiful boutique hotel in the beautiful and picturesque Duoro Valley. I don't know why TA categorizes this as a B&B (although breakfast was included and wonderful) because it is more like a Boutique hotel. A stay here also includes a fabulous pool area and a tour of the... More

Had a great experience here - an easy drive out for Porto (which will get easier once the road construction along the way is complete), especially if you print the directions from their website. We stayed in the "modern hotel" (built in 2011, I think) not the house, because the hotel rooms have terraces, and were thrilled that we did... More

A stunning modern boutique hotel in the middle of the Portuguese wine region! Unique! Great modern rooms! Beautiful proper swimming pool surrounded by fruit trees, wines & lavender! Minimum stay should be at least 2 nights otherwise you dont enjoy it to the full! Worth having a GPS to locate the place... The Wine tasting is enjoyable, informative, tasteful and... More

The pictures you can see on the internet won't let you know just how good this place is.... We arrived late at night (call them in the event you have to arrive late at night), when woke up in the morning and saw the views from the room: WOW!!!! Booked a superior room, it was worth the price!!!! Great bathroom... More

We found this winery/vineyard hotel through Frank Bruni's New York Times travel article from May 2010, in which he raved about the quinta's beauty and charm. We arrived with very high expectations, and from the very first moment those expectations were met, if not exceeded. The site itself is stunning--perched on the hillside surrounded by the quinta's terraced vineyards, with... More
