Good things Charming hotel, it's all about Douro wine region which we love very much. The hotel is just about the right size for Douro region, not too big not too small, very cosy, specially in the lobby, it really felt like being in a very cosy living room with fireplace. The architecture is beautiful, combining the old and the... More

We've spent three days there in the "modern"wing and it's superb. The staff is friendly and helpful! The room was huge, with a king size bed and two balconies with a view of Douro. The bathroom was big too, with a bathtub. The room was alway cleaned and the bottle of water always full. Notice that there is no frigobar,... More

We spent 2 nights at Quinta do Vollado in the newly constructed "modern" wing. I found it to be a tranquile and relaxing place to stay. It felt like every detail was taken care of before I had to think about it. This facility is extremely well maintained. It's also visually appealing and functional. I read other reviews that complained... More

As we drove up to the hotel we knew that we had not made a mistake in booking a two night stay. The scenery from the hotel is beautiful, overlooking the river and escarpments of vines. From the parking area there are stairs to climb up to the hotel, but a baggage elevator outside lifts up your bags. I don't... More

This small hotel (attached to a winery) has rooms in an old house and in a new modern wing. We stayed in the modern bit and our room was great (furthest on the left when you look at the building). It had an extra (2nd) balcony to sit on as well. The modern wing is very stylish, and filled with... More

This hotel is just beautiful! We stayed in one of the modern rooms and really enjoyed it. The design of everything in this hotel is just right, from the rooms to the common spaces. It's a joy to be there. The location is PERFECTION. There's so much beauty in this area, and everything looks and smells so good on the... More

This place is a winery that has added a boutique hotel. Five rooms in the old building and 8 more in the stunning, modern one. We stayed in the modern one, which is of distinguished design and very comfortable to boot. There are no restaurants nearby but the hotel offers a limited choice menu at night. If you book early... The hotel was located in short taxi ride from Regua station. The hotel consists of the traditional building and the modern building where the reception, lounge and restaurant were located. The room I stayed was in the traditional building, but inside was modern, clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful upon check-in. It was really nice to have... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. I would of loved to stay longer. Everything was beautiful. The dinner with wine pairings was delicious as was the breakfast. A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting-- what more could one ask for?

What an awesome charming hotel! We stayed in the olde hotel in the suite. There was such old world charm to staying in the house. We felt at home staying at this hotel. In the morning we would eat breakfast in the newer hotel part, then we would go for a drive around the valley, or go for a stroll... More
