We have chosen this hotel because of it perfect location for the travelers of the Regua region without the car. It is located just in a 50 meter from railway station. It has big clean room and a nice view from the terrace where you could get breakfast. We paid for 2 nights 94 € with breakfast . Everything is... More

The first big building on the right out of the railway station, the Imperio offers clean, spacious en-suite rooms and a good location at less than half the price of the big waterfront hotel across the street, with a mostly Portuguese clientele and no tour groups. Lots of restaurants close by, including the excellent and reception recommended O Malheiro. Feast... More

We stayed at The Imperio for one night during a motorcycle tour around Portugal. Value for money it could not have been better. Simple, clean and comfortable with a very adequate Continental Breakfast. Wifi was good and free in the public lounge. Very welcoming staff and the location is great as it is right by the small town. Underground secure... More

I was here in vacations, for a single night. The room was clean and simple, but the noise insulation was not quite good enough. Although, it performed well. The private parking of the hotel is about 100m away, without direct access to the it. And has limited space. But it is free and closed. I did enjoy the price value... More

Good location for anyone visiting the beautiful Douro area, world heritage landscape. Basic buffet breakfast, but reasonable quality. Deserves another star. Reception could be improved. Good restaurants nearby.

Imperio is 2 minutes's walk from the railway station. As it is on a busy corner, rooms can be a bit noisy but the double glazing certainly helps. Some of the rooms have a view of the river which is really nice. We stayed on a B&B basis and ate out as there are lots of nice restaurants in Regua.... More
