For a short getaway with my girlfriend, we went to Oudeschild on the lovely island Texel. After quite a search, we found Haven Hotel Texel. The pictures on their website seemed very nice, with the hotel being situated in the harbour. The hotel is based in a classic building which once was used as the headquarters of the ferry company....

We found a good rate through Bookings.com for this hotel. The name Haven Hotel actually implies hotel on the harbour and it really, truly is with spectacular views of either the North Sea or the Wadden Sea from any of the hotel windows. We are a middle-aged couple with no kids and we enjoyed a romantic and restful stay in...
