This is a super hotel sitting on the walls of the lovely old town of Ciudad Rodrigo. The welcome was freindly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. The Hotel has good parking important in this walled town. I also thoroughly reccommend a visit to the tower (ask at reception) for the splendid views.

Having stayed here on our way to N Spain for Christmas, we came on our way back even though it was 100 miles out of our way. Staff delightful. Our two dogs made very welcome. Even had food bowls and dog food provided! A really beautiful place and another happy stay. Thank you to all concerned.

We arrived early afternoon from the Parador of Segovia. On route seeing many birds of prey gliding and riding the thermals. The signpost for the Parador was obscured from view behind a small tree (see my photo). We stayed here for 3 nights. The parador has its own car park within the castle complex. There is no garage parking here.... More

This is a nice, quiet place to relax in a small city. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. You can enjoy the common areas full of historical furniture. However, it lacks swimming pool, spa, etc. It is ok if you just want to walk around the area and chill out. Oh, and try the cafeteria, it's really good.

Stayed here en route to Portugal via France and Spain.......we needed two rooms as we were travelling with our two children and our dog......check in staff were excellent and most helpful. The setting is amazing.....well worth climbing to the top of the tower to enjoy the views! We were allocated two rooms in an area completely to ourselves with quick... More

The hotel is a very stylish castle inside the walls of the old town of Ciudad Rodrigo. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for three nights. Ciudad Rodrigo is a perfect place to visit the elegant town but also to explore the surroudings, e.g. the archeological sites at Siega Verde. It is very convenient to have... More

How often do you get to sleep in a castle? The castle and the grounds are beautiful and worth the price of the stay. The city itself is a wonderful attraction to explore and we had a great time winding through its streets and admiring the wonderfully preserved examples of architecture from a bygone era. The room size is more... More

The hotel is a perfectly preserved, if small, castle at the top of town. With the aid of GPS and the street signs we negotiated the narrow lanes we eventually found the hotel. We were able to park outside the main entrance, unload, and then park in the hotel car park a short distance away. The room was small, being... More

Ciudad Rodrigo itself is a wonderful town.. The Parador is simply outstanding. Take the special deal of tower visit drink and tapa for a bargain price. Make sure you take your camera. Service is outstanding and judging by the DB Aston Martin outside James Bond is. Regulars visitor.

We found it easy to find the parador as it is alongside the back gate to this beautiful walled city. We had a lovely large room, though no balcony. The bathrooms are well appointed, as it seems they are in all paradors. Reception staff are very welcoming. All the decor and furnishings give a great ambiance. The gardens are secluded... More
