We loved our stay at Mision, in Cerocahui. Our room was ordinary, but Mision staff went out of their way to show kindness and warmth. Food was very good; surprisingly sophisticated. We enjoyed a tour of the little adjacent winery, and they fixed us up with Juan, who led us on a horseback ride into the countryside.

If you want plush four/five star facilities don't stay here. However if you want clean adequate accommdation with good international food and great friendly service in a traditional village setting this is a good place to stop. They even make their own wine from their vineyards byt he river which are worth a try.

No Ac in rooms but Mother nature took care of that as I stayed in the Rainy season. Realized that wood stove in room would be used during certain months of the year. Pool exceptionally clean & temperature was perfect. A must is the tour to Urique Canyon with Guadalupe. An extremely knowledgeable & friendly guide. Dining room staff,excellent.

We were there in January and the only heat in the rooms comes from a small, wood burning fireplace in a corner of the room. Our room never got warm. There were hardly any guests at the hotel and there was rarely even warm water. Cold showers in a cold room! Outside temps were between 20 and 50 degrees Farenheit.... More

This is the only hotel in Cerrochui, a small, picturesque town in the Copper Canyon. The description of lush gardens and vineyards was an overexaggeration to say the least. The swimming pool is tiny!
