We stayed at the Soberano for a wedding. The hotel sits atop a hill that is quite steep and you would need to have a vehicle take you as walking is going to be a major exercise. When you arrive you are greeting by a waterfall on the left and the entry on the right. You enter a large lobby... More

Thank you for your comment. We are glad you had a nice stay with us. We invite you to request a "city view" room next time, we have wonderful city views we are certain you would love. And yes.. our lobby is quite impressive... We can only wait for you to visit us during summer and experience the bar at... More

The Soberano has been a part of Chihuahua culture since I was a boy. The best feature this hotel has to offer is the amazing lobby. It offers an old timey feel of being in a big city, right in the middle of downtown. The entry is loaded with great visuals from a pair of gold lion statues in the... More

We stayed in this hotel for New Years eve, mainly because of the new year pary which was arranged on the premises. A huge lobby greeted us but hardly anything else. The hotel seemed empty. Check in worked ok. The room showed signs of faded glory from the past with rather old fashioned furniture. The bathroom could have been cleaner... More

Thank you for your comment. I apologize for your feeling during your stay. New Year´s is the slowest time for travelers in Chihuahua. The Hotel is very quiet during this time of the year. I would like to invite you visit us in another time when the hotel is more busy so you can experience the feeling and the service... More

Chihuahua city has always been a beautiful city but after 5 years of my last visit I was impressed on how the city has evolved and still beautiful. Regarding Hotel Soberano, it's majestic, beautiful, clean, staff courteous and helpfull. I attended a congress and facilities were outstanding, big screens for presentations, not a single technical incidents, coffe breaks a little... More

Excellent view and excellent breakfast buffet and chefs. The live music in the evenings in the bar adds a special touch of added value. However, it's hard to believe that it is considered by several town-citizens as "the best" hotel in Chihuahua, casually I saw many politicians guests in the hotel, something from which I am indifferent but at the... I really like the look of this place - wide open center with rooms ringing the open space. Lots of plants hanging over the balconies made it seem very "resort like". Unfortunately this open space also made the noise of the lobby and restaurant area echo and you could hear the noise in your room. Nothing ever lasted too late,... More

I've been staying at the Soberano for quite sometime now. Started with Palacio del Sol (before the Soberano existed) and then Hampton. I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant since I heard it's no longer a Westin and from some of the reviews. I didn't feel any hiccups in the service during my stay. As I understand, the... More

This was my first trip to Chihuahua and my first trip to the Hotel Soberano. As many have stated, it's NOT a Westin but run independently now. I can see that years ago this hotel was definitely in its prime. There used to be a huge waterfall all along the back wall of the hotel but since it has been... More

The Soberano is worrying as you sense that since Westin pulled out they are not investing in upkeep. I stayed one night as I was in town for a friend's wedding. Room was nice and well appointed, but no Kleenex. Check in was slow and the two clerks seemed stressed. At least ten rooms came on our flight I guess... More
