Norbert is the consummate host of his charming bed and breakfast in the center of town. We felt very welcome and comfortable and would highly recommend La Casa de Sonrisa. This hotel was our favorite of all the hotels we visited during our 2 week trip to Spain, primarily due to the great service and ambiance of the place.

Stayed just one night before flight home. Wish we could have stayed longer. A very warm welcome in this lovely small Andalucian town. The hotel is quaint and comfortable and full of character. The Dutch owners even got up to give us breakfast early in the morning - delicious home-made food. Had a lovely evening in the town square and... More

After a day bicycle riding around the beautiful countryside of this region of Spain, we arrived at the wonderful home of Carla and Norbert, owners of this guesthouse style accommodation. We were immediately made to feel welcome and completely at home and Carla and Norbert truly went out of their way to show us the gorgeous attractions of this town.... More

My sister and I stayed at the Casa de la Sonrisa for 10 nights on a B&B. Carla the dutch owner was a fantastic host. She couldn't do enough for us. She always wanted to know about our adventures every evening we came back to the hotel and she always listened to our experiences. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely... More

We have just returned from a wonderful week spent walking and visiting various cultural locations around Alhama de Granada. During the week, we stayed at the Casa de la Sonrisa. Carla was a wonderful host, always willing to help with every request, no matter how small. Our breakfasts were delicious, especially the coffee (a necessity for me to get started... More

My sister and I stayed at the Casa de la Sonrisa for a week in September 2008. This was the B&B selected by our Walking Tour Operator and we did not know exactly what to expect. It turned out to be way beyond our expectations. Carla and Norbert ,the owners, could not do enough for us, even going so far... More

My girlfriend and I drove into this gorgeous small Andalucian town (an hour from Granada), planning to spend a night soaking in the Roman era hot springs. A passerby urged us to try this little hotel, set off the main road, just next to the town square. We could not have been better pleased with the friendly service, excellent breakfast,... More
