This is a quiet country hotel easy to find and close to the autoroute. Parking very close. Given room 9 again Third time out of three . Very pleasant small suite with large bathroom. Settee a bit tired but a lovely throw. Shame about the springs!! I had trouble trying to operate the walk in shower but it could have... More

Situated next to a lovely lake in a peaceful, rural location but only 15 minutes from the main Motorway links, this is a gem of a hotel. We had a comfortable family room with a new bathroom with jacuzzi bath and fabulous shower. Restaurant was lovely. Superb meal. Staff were so pleasant and helpful. A real find.

Spent a single night here en route to the Loire valley. Wished we had booked in for a couple of nights more. It's not the cheapest place to stay but the quality more than makes up for the cost. The hotel has been really well planned out, the room was comfortable and clean, and for the sherry drinkers there is... More

Stayed for two nights (one on our way south and one on our return to Caen). Both times we had a very comfortable room; numbers 6 and 7, the service was good and the food was good. A nice and convenient stop over in a very attractive location.

You have to be impressed with the lovely location that this hotel occupies and it has the potential to be wonderful. You can see the efforts being made to increase it`s size and facilities and to run a really good restaurant but....they aren`t there yet! Room was not large and decor needed refreshing and generally more money needs to be... More

Further from the motorway than we thought, about 15/20 minutes from Junction 20 of the A28 and as this was our last night before returning home after 10 days holiday we did not get the maps from Venere, the booking agent. Found it difficult to find based on the RAC route planner we had. But it was well worth the... More

The hotel setting is beautiful, but the evening dinner was disgraceful - the main course fish had been rolled but was so undercooked it nearly swam off the plate and into the lake! We tried to order wine but each wine we chose was not in stock! My poor husband choose a chocolate tart for pudding, he has a sweet... More

We visit France at least once every year and normally drive from the south coast of England via Eurotunnel and complete our journey without a stopover. This year we decided to stop roughly half way to the Dordogne , on checking "tripadvisor" this hotel looked like the perfect stopover point. It is only about 15 minutes from Junction 20 of... More

quite a long trek from the motorway , but broke up the journey. quite good value & tasty evening meal & no problem that we didn't arrive until 9.30pm. rooms nothing to write home about; we were in the "disabled room" with direct access onto the road & no access to the hotel; a bit weird.

The hotel is situated in the countryside next to a lake, a beautiful setting! Our friends had a room with view at the lake, nice and confortable but it was difficult to get in and out the shower. In the morning they only heard the birds. But we had a room at the other side of the building and constantly... More
