We stayed here for two nights in January. We were booked into a motel unit. This was a very cramped unit. Neither of the two bedroom doors opened properly, as the beds were blocking the opening. The bathroom was damp with mouldy wall linings near the shower. The toilet seat was broken (though this was immediately fixed when we reported... More

From the pictures and the previous reviews we had high hopes for this place but they did not deliver. It started with the most apathetic greeting from the lady at the front desk. It was as though we were bothering her by checking-in. Our site was on the upper level and was on a slope so our sleep consisted of... More

We stayed here for 2 nights with a ten in a busy weekend (first weekend of january). It was a nice spot, people were very friendly at the reception. They have a lot of information and basic needs you can buy. The kitchen block and bbq's outside were more than ok to make a decent meal. The fridges and freezers... More

We had stayed in this holiday park twice before through 2012 & 2013 with friends and it was an okay stay. Came back this year with family and stayed in a stand alone house for 2 nights for 5 people. The house #16 i think was okay. They have installed a new fridge which was good. Bit that was all... More

Didn't get a friendly welcome. booked a basic cabin and it was exactly that. It could accommodate 4 people (1 x double and a bunk). Only 1 central light and 1 plug socket. It would be very tight if it was fully occupied. No heating. No curtain up the glass door so the morning light woke us up. There was... More

Ahipara holiday park.... where do I start? With the terrible service or the theft issues? I stayed here for 2 nights expecting a lovely stay near the 90 mile beach... how wrong I was. Firstly the beach is horrible so dont waste your time, dirty polluted sand and utes take up most of the view, the rest is taken up... More

Stayed for one night in my camper. Clean and spacious facilities with a huge well equipped kitchen for cooking your meals. Nice common room with large TV with pay channel and a fire place for the cold winter night. Friendly and helpful staff. Meters from 90 Mile Beach. Camping ground well lit at night. Didn't need to book ahead, however... More

We stayed here for one night in our camper. This has the potential to be a great camp and I think in the summer it would be really fun and it is close to the beach. The area of the camp is huge and it has been planted with lots of trees that give privacy and make it a fun... More

This campground is the best I've stayed on travelling through NZ, very nice staff, great to meet people and some great facilities. Everything is very convenient and the only thing you have to worry about is to have a great time. Awesome spot to go surfing around Shipwreck Bay and meet other surfers to travel with.

Booked absolutely wonderful cabin that turned out spotlessly clean, 2 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, great tv/wifi, outside patio with comfortable seating, and at a really inexpensive rate. Great place to stay!
