We arrived late in the evening and our GPS wasn't working so we did have a bit of trouble finding the Motel. However, when we eventually arrived we did receive a friendly greeting and were shown to our one bedroom apartment. We couldn't appreciate the view until the morning and what a view it was... all the way from Ninety... More

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the Ahipara Bay Motel during a recent stay in June 2014. Neil and his wife were friendly, accommodating and have units with incredible ocean views. The Stone Grill style of cooking made for some tasty filet mignons - great cut of meat provided and nice local wine to match. Having an on-site restaurant in... More

There for a birthday treat with not too high expectations. Watzi the host was exceptionally friendly and introduced us to the stone grill menu & made recommendations. We had bad memories of this cooking fad from the early 90s.... We were pleasantly surprised that cooking lean mean meat without fat/oil avoided all the smoke & spatters we remember. Chicken, beef... Neil and Raewyn are terrific hosts at what was a great find in a lovely part of the world. We booked for one night and stayed on for a second. Our spa equipped one bedroom apartment was practical and the bed very comfy. The view is stunning and the main reason for choosing this hotel once we'd stumbled upon it.... More

We state one night on short notice at the Ahipara bay motel, dined in the restaurant which was nice and reasonable price for the meal. The rooms are nice enough and look over the bay with great views, we had breakfast on the deck overlooking the bay. All in all a good place because of the outlook, not 4 star... More

We dined at the restaurant on Saturday 12/4/14 night. We were given top service, fantastic food and drinks, excellent hosts, gorgeous views and brilliant entertainment - definitely a restaurant we want to share with others. Enjoyed it so much we couldn't help but leave a tip. Thanks for a fantastic evening Raewyn, Neil and the team Josephine and Andrew

We stayed one night at the motel in the deluxe studio room with a deck overlooking the bay. The view was as beautiful as advertised. The room was comfortable. We had a great dinner of fish of the day at the restaurant. Overall, a very nice stay.
