The proprietors, Paul and Jenny, are gracious, genial hosts. The view of 90 Mile Beach was stunning! We had a two bedroom, two bath unit complete with kitchen and living room, balconies on three side, overlooking the magnificent 90 Mile Beach in Northwest New Zealand on the North Island. Breakfast was included, cooked for us by Jenny, and delivered to... More

We thought we were out of luck finding anywhere to stay in Ahipara after a long drive up and down to Cape Reinga, we phoned Susan and Ned who waived their usual minimum 2 night stay for us and as a result found ourselves in one of the best places we've found in New Zealand. The apartment was lovely, the... More

Myself and 3 others stayed here. We stayed for 3 nights and it was amazing! The beach is steps away, the veiws stunning with the Beach abode apartment beyond what we expected. The crockery was of high quality, the little extras such as supplies of towels, hairdryer, iron & ironing board, puzzles, magazines, the freezer unit stocked with ice, to... More

We would thoroughly recommend staying at Beach Abode. The setting is wonderful and we enjoyed the view of the beach from our window and being able to go straight into the sea after a hot, tiring drive. We wished we had stayed for 3 nights at least to make the most of it. Very nicely maintained with many thoughtful touches... More

The view from the room was picture perfect, overlooking the beach and watching the sun go down. Room is welcoming and beautiful, the bathroom is immaculate. The room had so many personal touches that make it stand out from any other motel you stay in. From providing beach towels, the best cooking utensils, to having great outdoor furniture to enjoy... We stayed in the Seascape apartment at Beach Abode. We have two young children. The accommodation was perfect. Very clean, very lovely interiors, very relaxing. The views were amazing, the sunsets are magical. The attention to detail in the apartment was spot on. Susan looks after the guests well and advised us of great places to travel to. Towels were... We stayed in the Beach Break Apartment which is at ground level, with decking facing the rear garden, 90 Mile Beach and the sea. It is light and airy, with the 'kitchen' facilities along one wall. Susan and Ned have their apartment in the upper storey of the house. Susan washed, dried and folded our washing for us for a... More

This was a fanbulous place to stay; sadly we had only booked two nights. Wish we could have stayed longer!! Would definitely recommend to anyone heading that way, and we will certainly stay there again when back up that way. The location is great, right on the beach with fantastic views and lovely walks in the surf. Susan and Ned... More

Using motels as a base when travelling around New Zealand is a good way to do it, but after a week or two they all begin to look very much the same. Beach Abode is the place that breaks that mould. Only 3 units, all different and virtually on ninety mile beach. The decor and fittings have been chosen to... More

We stayed here three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The unit was beautifully furnished, spotless and very well equipped. The bed had beautiful linen on and was really comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous and had lovely fluffy white towels and toiletries. We loved the location of this property especiallly being able to walk on the beach from... More
