This place is spotless, interesting and nicely located in the colonial center of town. It only sports a few rooms, probably less than 6. The rooms are roomy and have modern A/C. It's a bit like a museum, displaying interesting objects on walls and tables under the patio's arches and in a special "curiosity room", furbished with beautiful, black and... More

This "hotel" or inn is the historic home of the manager of the old silver mine in town. Don't expect fancy, expect a charming room, with a beautiful courtyard and atmosphere you will never forget. Once the new road is completed this town will probably change forever. Go now while it still slumbers.

While on a motorcycle trip in the copper canyon I stayed at this hotel. Martin is a fantastic host and is more than willing to accommodate you, we had some mechanical problems and he was quick to offer us the use of his garage to repair the bike's. The rooms are quite large and open onto a beautiful courtyard. There... More

I stayed at the Hotel Minas for two nights and it was the high point of my two weeks in Mexico. The rooms are large and clean and the shower was hot. It was everything I had hoped I would find on this trip. If it wasn't for the new pickups I could imagine it was 100 years ago. The... More

Martin will greet you and make you feel very welcome. The hotel is 1 block from the plaza and 2 minutes from Carolina's restaurant. The rooms are very large - including the large bathroom - very clean and comfortable. All rooms open onto the charming coutyard where you can relax and meet other travelers ( and sometimes hear the local... More

This hotel is a great option when staying in Batopilas. The rooms were large and comfortable and flow out onto the courtyard which has a lovely atmosphere. The owner Martin is very friendly and extremely helpful always making you feel right at home. It is just a block from the plaza and close to an excellent restaurant, Carolina's. Highly recommended.

It is absolutely worth the effort to get down to the base of Copper Canyon and explore the old colonial town of Batopilas -- a beautiful place. I preferred the hike along the aqueduct, however, to the recommended one to a poorly-restored church at Satevo in the other direction. Casa Real de Minas is a great hotel. The owner's family... I really enjoyed my two nights at this old hacienda style hotel. Every detail of the place was well thought out and it was spotless. I particularly loved the artistic painting on the walls and historical information all around. Unfortunately I was the only tourist in town during my stay so things were kind of shut down all over. The... More

We recently spent 2 days in Batopilas as part of a trip we arranged to the Copper Canyon area. This Casa was spotless, very comfortable and had a wonderful courtyard for sitting and relaxing. The staff and owner were very friendly and gracious.

My husband, myself and my 85 year old dad took a 2-day trip to Batopilas with 3 Amigos. We liked Casa Real de Minas. It's a lovely place, the rooms open to a courtyard with mango and kumquat trees and flowering plants. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, quite charming. We stayed in the rooms with A/C. Plenty of... More
