I arrived here on the Copper Canyon train (spectacular)! My up to date lonely planet said the dorms here were 150 pesos. When I arrived, the reception said they had abandoned the dorms and that a room was 450! This had happened to me a few times as it was the low season, they were just trying to get more... More

Good day Sir, first of all we apologize if we didn´t cover your expectations, but the dormitory hasn't been available since 2013, your lonely guide can be updated but they haven't come to Creel to update the information from here, and we don´t have control of what appears in it, in fact if you check the internet travel agencies like... I spent here 4 days on October 2014 and I really loved the Hotel. It was on remodelation on the outside but nothing to disturb the people excepting the view. The personal and services were pretty good. The room they gave us was small but really cute, comfortable and with all the services you could need, like hot water, sky... More

We stayed here 2 nights in our trip in the Chepe train. The rate was $ 450 pesos per night for 2, in a queen room with view outside. That's about $32 USD at current exchange rate. The room was small but comfortable, very clean. Hotel is super safe, no complains there. It has satellite TV and a propane heater.... More

Centrally located and facing the plaza, it's a budget friendly place, that also has the only Hostel style dorm room that sleeps nine people. Clean enough and friendly enough staff, but there are a few things to be aware of: Being right on the central plaza, means it can get pretty noisy at times and all traffic passes by out... More

This hotel is in a great location right off the main strip with all the restaurants and shops. The people that worked here were kind and helpful. The rooms are small, but beautiful and included cable. Breakfast is amazing! You have to walk a little ways to get it ,but it isn't far and the food is excellent. I would... More

I booked this hotel based largely on these reviews, but I must say that I wish I'd gone a little more upscale. We had three rooms for six people altogether during the week after Easter, which is still the Semana Santa school break in Mexico, so there were tons of Mexican vacationers in Creel. We arrived on the day after... More

The Maria del Carmen room overlooked the plaza, was very clean, had copious hot water and good heating, and a nice soft bed. No need to pay more to stay at their sister property, Plaza Mexicana Margarita. For the extra money, I'm happy to bring my own soap. The breakfast and dinner is edible. Nothing to write home about, but... More

Casa Margarita, Nov 2013. We found this reasonably priced hotel and booked it online for 3 nights. Price was about 550 pesos per night ($42 US) and that included breakfast and dinner. Pretty basic meals, but saved you the cost of buying. One size fits all in the dining room, meaning they served everyone the same thing. We had to... More

I can only write what I experience of course, so make up your own mind. I made a reservation by email, they answered me that my reservation was ok and that there was a pickup service at the train station. Not that anything is far away but they do it to lore people that don't have reservations somewhere. I got... More

Stayed at Margarita's used it a hub to trek the canyon, they were very helpful, met several of Margarita and a couple family members. This was back when they had the little coffee house on the first floor, Mike P. ran that part of the operation. Mike was quite the character, we made several treks in and about the canyon,... More
