The house is renovated beautifully, lovingly taken care of, the hosts are nice, friendly, helpful and most of all care about their village, environment and promoting their area. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing, the hosts went out of their way to show us around and assist us, and it was overall a lovely experience. the area has many interesting... More

This is the place to Purify your senses in every way. I was exhausted from travelling round navigating different language, travel systems and change of plans yet Olivier and Hiromi were the most welcoming and helpful hosts ever. Bringing joy to people seems to be their lifes work coz anything I needed they helped to find and exceed my expectations!... More

We visited from UK. Nishiawakura in Okayama is a beautiful countryside looks like an old japanese folktale. It is ideal to combine your busy sightseeing in Kyoto and Osaka. It was very relaxing and enjoyable with our 5 years old daughter at that time. The accommodation was a very nice old Japanese family home converted to match modern requirements; clean... More

Very warm welcoming hosts in this family owned Bed and Breakfast. Excellent Japanese-made breakfast. Lovely countryside surrounding by mountains, forest and rice fields. When you enter Nokishita Toshokan you experience the daily Japanese way of life of Hiromi & Olivier based on their values and keeping tradition in modern time while remaining in touch with nature. A fusion of culture... More
