I have stayed here several times over the years and planning on staying again on a new flying trip to the west. In may 2015 , This place has so much character about it. Just sitting in the pub having a beer on a hot day. Talking to a local . Its a buzz just being there . Great accommodation... More

Any outback pub is an experience that I look forward to. Locals and the staff are always open and friendly. The accommodation here was very good. Clean airconditioned rooms with en suite facilities.Food was more than adequate and possibly the best in town. Do avoid the race days

We've stopped here to eat, to stay and to meet friends at various times. We found the motel accommodation a welcome change from camping. It's clean, comfortable and convenient. The food was excellent. And not just because we'd been camping for so long, the food was really good. And when you think of the logistics of getting fresh veges and... More

The Birdsville Hotel is a gorgeous, low slung building that looks as though it is sheltering on its corner from 100 years of dust storms and desert winds that have no doubt buffeted it through the ages, quite unlike the two storey Marree Hotel on the other end of the Birdsville Track. We were delighted to reach it, and indeed... More

We stayed at this iconic hotel for 3 nights and found things to do and see over that period in and around Birdsville. The hotel is typically Australian and is, I think, about 100 years old. All activity hinges around the bar, which is well stocked and efficiently run in a friendly informal way. The room we had was a... More

A modern and very comfortable motel. No compromises here, despite its isolation - we were pleasantly surprised. And just a short walk to the Pub for a jolly good meal. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed 2 nights, comfortable spacious room with single and double. Good laundry and clothes line, Sunday Roast worth having. Great atmosphere, Plenty of areas to sit and enjoy both inside and out. Drinks are expensive but you must remember you are in the outback. If you are musical there are a couple of pianos to have a sing along around.... More

We enjoyed a comfortable room, good pub food with cold beer, served by friendly engaging staff in a buzzing environment. An easy walk takes you to the Birdsville Bakery which is not to be missed. Great pies, breakfasts coffees, we went there twice. The town has a small but fascinating museum. The only caveat I had was the very expensive... More

Once again have stayed here quite a few times I once again got my own room rather than share with the rest of the group(I snore) The staff are friendly and super helpful and being Adventure Dirt bike riders we are always welcome. The rooms are spacious clean and the showers once again hot(take note the family room at the... More

We called at the pub for a evening meal expecting the previous visits very good pub grub but were disappointed . The steak was sent back for extra cooking and returned still the same and the pork mornay was not edible . We have never complained about meals until then and were at least refunded the meal cost .
