We had a brilliant time in Maipu, Mendoza with Fransisco, Macarena and Benjamin. The rooms were well appointed and warm, with English television channels and comfortable beds. This is a quiet area, about 600m from one of the main roads through. Bike riding around the wineries was fun and our favourite was Carinae, which although the furtherest away was well worth... More

From the minute we arrived at TikayKilla we were treated with the utmost care. The owner, Francisco did an amazing job helping us feel comfortable and welcome. We loved the small size of the hotel as it gave us a great opportunity to relax on the beautiful grounds. Francisco was able to give us advice from wine tastings to local... More

Booked a 5 night stay after a recommendation from friends who stayed here a year earlier on a tour of Argentina - they said it was their favourite part of the trip. Tikaykilla is a short taxi ride from the airport. Perfectly located down a side road, off the one main road where all the wineries are. At the end... More

We stayed at Tikaykilla for two nights with our three boys. Francisco was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. Our two bigger sons stayed in their own room, which worked out well as the hotel is small and rooms face out onto a secure walled in garden, so we weren't worried about them. Francisco made sure everyone was... More

I came across TikayKilla through Trip Advisor and have no regrets. My trip to Mendoza was hindered due a last minute smaller surgery which prevented me to do all the adventure & sports kind of plan. So I needed a place to rest away from the city center and yet do not feel useless. I came for a couple of... More

Stayed with Francisco for three nights and he was the perfect host, we were there to visit the vineyards and he gave us some excellent recommendations and introduced us to a driver who was his friend and they were able to chauffeur us about for the duration of our visit. Accommodation is very quaint and was ideal for our needs.

I stayed here over Christmas with my friend in 2013 and I'm ashamed it has taken me so long to review this amazing lodge. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed and the bed was the best I slept on in Argentina. The location is great with one of Maipu's many vineyards just a couple of hundred meters away... We stayed at TikayKilla for 3 nights... Should have stayed longer! The location is perfect if you want to visite the vineyards. It's quiet, easy going and beautiful. Francisco goes out of his way to make sure you have the best of everything. Bikes, tips, trips, whatever! We immidiately felt at home. O, and he is a good cook! If... More

The lodge has only 4 rooms, so the owner Francisco did an exclusive service for us. We stayed there for 5 days. A beautiful backyard with plums, peaches, olives, an autentique argentinian grill and a beautiful sunset made our stay even better. There is a dog, named Soaky, and it is very friendly. It is good to plan your meals... More

Another great (and well deserved) review for Tikay Killa! I stayed here for a week after coming down from Aconcogua and absolutely loved it. I was floored by how friendly and helpful Francisco (the owner and host) was to me. The more I think about it, I truly believe I have never had a better host. I took a week... More
