After having been in Mendoza city center for a day we went to Maipu expecting a nice wind region. To our surprise it was Urban and impossible to get to the wineries on foot. Our expectations were let down. About to give up we found Hanz and his beautiful B&B and wine farm. He took us in for 5 days... More

This Posada is very beautifull and run by a very warm and hospital owner. The location is perfect. There are bikes on the property which you can take to all of the wine and olive farms. The area is stunning and so are the grape plants at cavieres. The setup is perfect. Three luxurious rooms and a communal livingroom and... More

Posada Cavieres was such a magical experience for me and my boyfriend(who proposed to me there). I was looking for the Mendoza wine farm experience, and wanted a soothing place to relax and unwind. Posada Cavieres was just the place I needed. The wine farm location is about 30-40min drive from Mendoza proper, and about 10min from Maipu, the nearest... More

Located in the suburb wine area of Maipu, just outside of central Mendoza is this charming little B&B. Three en-suite bedrooms within a cottage with a fully stocked kitchen, living, and dining spaces. We arrived late and a wonderful roast chicken dinner was prepared for us. Probably the best chicken we've had on our entire trip. It's a great place... More

My wife and I arrived here after 2 days in the city of Mendoza. We did not have a rental car, and there was a general strike that day, so buses and taxis weren't running. We rode the metrotranvia light rail into Maipu, but were stranded from there. We called Hans, the owner, and he immediately came and picked us... More

My wife and I traveled here in 2011. We stayed a few nights in Posada Cavieres and it was one of the most pleasant and wonderful places we have every stayed! It was a small (3 guest rooms?) property on a dirt road in a scenic country side location. The man and wife who own the farm are incredibly hospitable.... More

My wife and I chose Posado de Cavieres as we wanted to experience a working vineyard while in Maipu and ended up getting much more than we bargained for. The small intimate guesthouse only has three rooms, which makes for a very homely feel and Hans, the owner, couldn't do enough to ensure we had a wonderful stay - his... More

We stayed a couple of nights here a couple of years ago (late review) and enjoyed a delightful stay, enjoyed the wine and the view out into the vineyard from the terrace was perfect for a nice relaxing break in Maipu Recommended if you're in the area

My husband and I stayed for two nights at this posada after a long journey from Patagonia. Hans (the owner) arranged for a taxi to pick us up with a stop off in the city centre to exchange money. Once we got to the hotel Hans and Tommy(the gorgeous sheep dog) made us feel at home. We hired two bikes... More

We stayed at the Posada for 3 nights. Hans was super helpful in organising us a driver to takeua to Uco for the day. The next day we spent walking around nearby bodegas. They were a few km away but some really top class wineries and restaurants in the area. The rooms were comfortable and had air conditioning. Hans put... More
