My husband and I spent two nights at Hotel Zunica as explored Civitella del Tronto; the birth place of his grandfather. Hotel Zunica and the restaurant exceeded our expectations. The rooms were large and comfortable with an outstanding view of the Gran Sasso Mountains. We enjoyed the 8 course tasting meal at the restaurant which feature local foods and recipes.... More

I spent my Christmas holiday in Civitella del Tronto. I stayed and dined at Hotel Zunica over three days and it was absolutely fantastic. The owner, Daniele, is a host in the truest sense and made me feel at home. The staff is super friendly, attentive and resourceful. The hotel manager, Maurizio, was outstanding and speaks very good English, which... More

I worried about noise because this hotel was on the 'main square', but in fact the town is so small that the square is quiet and peaceful (we we there second week of September). Easy to park outside for as long as you like to load and unload the car, then street parking only moments away. Staff universally friendly and... More

I only ate at the restaurant because I had previously read about the chef and their commitment to excellence. Excellent knowledge if local food, brilliant customer service. Price is on the high side but well worth it!!! The waiters can speak English

We went there with my wife's cousin and her Italian husband in June. This little village have a fantastic view of the nearby valleys and mountains. We had the 8 course menu at the restaurant. The food was excellent, well presented and one of the owners and the waiter explained us everything about the food they were serving. All paired... More

This hotel is located in a tiny village known for the well known hill top fortress overlooking the town and surrounding area. While not luxe, the hotel has a gracious old time feel to it, and we enjoyed our stay there of 2 nights, enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of the countryside. The hotel's front desk manager, Maurizio, was a... More

My husband and I spent 6 wonderful nights here and enjoyed it immensely. The hotel manager, Maurizzio spoke excellent English and was attentive to all our requests, including arranging for tours for us of the local sights. I was the only student that week for a hands-on cooking school experience learning the regional Abruzze cuisine that was first rate --... More

The hotel is quite good and has a wonderful view over the mountains. It has quite a history and shows its strong ties with the rest of the delightful little town. Incredible surroundings and plenty of things to do in the region. The restaurant is very good, serves creative dishes made with good ingredients. The bed was one of the... More

Ok we just checked in yesterday, a few days early for the cooking class. But it was Valentine Day and we had an opportunity to enjoy the prix fix gourmet dinner. Seven courses and all paired with wine. The food and wines were typical of the Abbruzzo region. A great meal, great service and very memorable. After the dining experience... More
