I read the reviews before visiting the hotel. There were some disturbing ones. We called the hotel many times to check on some of the comments we read. Well to set the record straight.....firstly the road from coffee bay to Hole in the wall is a breeze. Any vehicle can make it here. One or two areas are a little... More

This was our second time at Hole in the Wall Hotel. At first there was a bit of confusion regarding our rooms, which wasn't communicated to us at first, but was eventually sorted out. We had a beautiful view and the rooms were fairly clean. The rooms were also serviced, beds made, dishes washed and put away, which is great... More

The walks aroung Hole in the Wall are beautiful! If you are a photographer (no matter what your level) you will have a number of picturesque opportunities. The hotel itself has everything you need. The chalets are spacious and have a good layout. They are equiped with everything that we needed. The braai area was super! The beds and pillows... More

Our first visit to Hole in the Wall. We will definitely be back but we had some issues... Our blankets weren't clean. After the first night, had to ask housekeeping to please wash blankets as they were dusty and grimy... don't think they get washed after every room change... We hoped it was done as we were out the whole... More

A nice place to stay when touring the area. It is safe. The staff spoiled me. They have a great recommendation s for the area. I would go back in a heart beat. Lovely area with lovely people. It is not fancy but tidy and affordable with a budget. I didnt spend much time in my room so this was... More

After reading some reviews regarding the establishment I was very sceptical on going, we booked through our timeshare first resorts and was booked into a 4 sleeper see view chalet no 36, new modern kitchen, big open spaced bedroom with double bed, pull out couch bed for the kids. Awesome view of the sea, the landscape is full of hills,... More

My husband and I just got back from a nice break where we had a lovely self-catered chalet. The unit had all the necessary utensils and gadgets and I quite enjoyed cooking up lovely meals. Although, the unit showed age in various areas, we weren't too bothered. We paid more upfront for a sea-facing chalet and were looking forward to... More

We travelled from Coffee Bay, The Shack to Hole in the wall. The resturant is situated close to the beach, secure and only authorised access is allowed for Hotel guests only. The food was very good and the service exellent, the staff very vrendly. The hole in the wall attrection is within walking distance from the hotel. The hole in... More

First of all...don't follow the directions provided on their website. They take you on a god-awful dirt road that is really best driven by 4x4's only. Whichever way you arrive..it's a long haul to get there. But, the scenery is worth it. The property itself is rather over-rated, imo. The backpackers units, although inexpensive, are pretty miserable. The beds are... More

Friends and I decided to stay in a self-catering unit at the Hole in the Wall Hotel. Upon arrival the owners recognised my friends who had stayed there in the past, which was perhaps the best thing about the service. The grounds are delightful as was the constant birdsong, however the rooms were dated and basic. In the room that... More
