Coffee Bay truly is one of the iconic Wild Coast locations. It wasn't quite what I expected but grew on me very quickly. The scenery in the area is breathtaking. Pity I couldn't get to see the Hole in the Wall due to a horrendous road between Coffee Bay and there. Had to turn around. The hotel was delightful. The... More

Coffee Bay is a town of its own character. Ocean View Hotel is a little Jewel with potential. Either you love it or you don't. Our upstairs room no. 11 had a wonderful Seaview, however the bathroom needs attention. There is only a bath with hand shower. The room was newly decorated with a nice colour scheme, however the wardrobe... More

We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Old Hotel without TV but the room was clean and comfortable except the bathroom. Food excellent but they had dogs in the dining room and even the person in the room next to us had a dog. Staff very friendly and helpful. Seeing the Hole in the Wall is a must... More

We stay in hotel just one night. There was some posts that rooms are unclean. Our room had number 31, it was clean, a bathroom little older, but generally it was OK. Anybody coming have probaly comes because of beautiful nature not hotel. Security was OK, there was also police from time to time coming around, Food was perfect specially... More

Our room overlooked the beach and it was a short walk past the swimming pool to the surf. While our ocean view room and bathroom was a bit tired, it was clean with a comfortable king-sized bed and no insects. The service and food were great. A high point for us was their 4X4 excursion to Hole in the Wall... More

This hotel has a beautiful sea view at the end of a 80 km drive from the main road. The buffet evening meal was good, breakfast OK. We booked two sea view rooms and were disgusted at the state of the bathrooms. The black marks around the White? Tiles at the edge of the bath and basin was so disgusting... More

Coffee Bay is a little haven where a gorgeous little hotel overlooking the bay is a welcome surprise after a somewhat rough drive from the N2. Swimming pool, beach, price includes all meals. The staff are so very friendly and accommodating, going the extra mile to make our stay great. Local fisherman on hand to help with fishing spots, etc.... More

Coffee bay is a wonderful spot with beach cliffs scenery .. A great spot . The resort has a slightly hippy feel to it with a lot of back packers etc The road from the N2 is in a bad way as many have stated .. 10000 potholes some dangerous ? The ocean view hotel needs such a lot of... More

Ocean View is an outdated hotel nestled over the beach of Coffee Bay. It is not the place for refinement! As good is the surf spot as nice was our room (despite the old bathroom and bathtub) and the incredible view on the sea side. Breakfast, lunch and diner served on the terrace or the restaurant are very good. Coffee... More

Our family had a lovely (if too short) one-night stay in the Ocean View Hotel in December. We had booked a family room, but were provided with two rooms, which delighted my son. The food was delicious and the staff friendly. We greatly enjoyed our drive to Hole in the Wall, with some geocaching enjoyed along the way. We could... More
