We stopped at Toad Hall briefly to get coffee bags on our way down to Guanacaste and just fell in love with the place. Though we had already prepaid for a hotel three hours away, we turned around once we arrived at our prebooked place and came straight back to Toad Hall - and were SO GLAD about our choice.... More

After reading "3il"'s comment I had to point out that 2000 colones for a beer is "toad"ally reasonable. 2000 colones is about $4, so to complain about having to pay for them after getting a beautiful room for $15 a night it absurd. Get a grip buddy. I didn't stay at Toad Hall because we already had accommodation in La... More

We stopped here for a cuppa and breakfast on our way down to the coast after staying near the volcano. We both wished we had stayed here instead of at Cerro Chato eco lodge. Place was lovely, food good and staff great. The scenery was stunning too and the place was cheap. What more could you want. Not luxurious by... More

This was one of the best hotels I have been to. The scenery in the back of the hotel is amazing. They have a path you can walk through in the back of the hotel through the jungle that leads to the stream of water. All of the rooms are unique and the sounds of the wildlife are enchanting. The... Unfortunately we already had reservations at our next hotel, otherwise I would gladly have stayed the night! Such an amazing place and the suite must be one of the most amazingly simple, elegant and beautiful hotel rooms I have been in. To wake up to that view. These guys are truly blessed! There is a new trail going down to... More

since I was by myself and no one else was staying there. " Choose any room I want...for $15/night." OK . The rooms here are very nice! I choose the Jungle Room. Awesome! Thanks! I asked where I could buy beers, and groceries. "I've got beer. How many do you want?" Says friendly Jeff. Three say I. ok here, no... More

We heard so many wonderful things about Toad Hall and were really excited about our stay. Unfortunately, we took the jeep-boat-jeep from Monteverde which promised us a door to door service. Instead, we were dropped off in La Fortuna without any means of getting to Toad Hall. Since a taxi to get there would be way to expensive we were... More

we did not stay here, just stopped for a bit and visited, BUT what a fun place this would be for my kids to stay at. The premier room, big kitchen living area and funny bedroom, $165 per night. To much funky one bedrooms for about 85 bucks. Too much, how about a hostile for $15 a night. The owner... More
