This place gives u the idea of a godo place, and maybe the food is not even bad, but the prices are way over the qualità and QUANTITY of the meals. More over, the owners change at their own opportunity the corones/dollars, maligno you pay in dollars much more than u should. This is not correct. The change is official... More

Actually food was not too bad but I could not finish my plate while watching this toucan. Owners of Toad Hall claim they found this bird when it was very young, scooped it up and caged it for an attraction. I asked why they didnt release it and they said they believed it was dependent on them. Yea, what a... More

OK, a play on words from Tom Robbin’s book “Another Roadside Attraction”. I guess I’m getting giddy after writing ten reviews today from our Costa Rica trip. I am officially committing to writing reviews since I base so much of my travels on others’ reviews. Back to Toad Hall… there were tons of hand painted signs along the road from... More

We couldn't pass by Toad Hall without stopping to investigate. We must have seen more than 50 signs before we ever saw the place. Wonderful food and very hospitable owners and staff. Best fish tacos ever! We toured the grounds and one of the rooms, I can't wait to return and stay! Thanks Jeff foe letting the kids make signs... More

We stopped off here on it way back to Guanacaste. Food was lovely and the views spectacular. Lovely to see the small amount of wildlife rescue here, in particular the two baby toucans who will be released when they're old enough. An interesting shop selling some different items

We were randomly driving around Arenal and we kept seeing all these signs saying to go to toad hall. We decided to stop here because of the signs and it's actually a great little spot with a gorgeous view of the volcano and the lake. The food was pretty good as well.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of days during our visit to Costa Rica and could not have been happier! We were met by Jeff and Lydia as we drove up (They were hard at work painting one of the exterior walls) and were given a short tour of the property. We were then shown into the... More

After a "day trip" to the Arenal Volcano we stopped in to grab a beer after reading several dozen signs on Rt. 142. We ending up leaving 3 days later. We we're overcome by the amazing attitude of the staff and owners Jeff and Lydia. They immediately treated us like family and made sure we had everything we needed to... More
