We only had a couple of days in Tobago and this was perfect. We could walk to beaches, bars, or just relax in the beautiful environment created at Kariwak Village. The food and entertainment was wonderful and the staff was incredibly kind and worked hard to meet our needs. more

We loved our 2 day stay at the Kariwak Hotel. It is most definitely not the cookie cutter type vacation beach resort. It has a charm all its own. While this property isn't directly on the beach it offers a great getaway for people who love nature and are not necessarily beach bunnies. The grounds and leisure areas are immaculately... more

We stayed at the Kariwak in march 2009,excellent room, food, hospitality, staff very friendly and helpfull. No need for bottled water we drank straight from the hotel tap no problem, ice and insulated bucket provided.Close to airport, store bay & pidgeon point all within walking distance, gardens & grounds are lovely full of bird songs "try the hammocks". Just spent five nights here and loved it. The words "holistic haven" may strike fear into you if you are not a hippie type - fear not! Yoga etc is one small part of this place, which has a very chilled vibe, set in beautiful gardens, birdsong all around. Nice "huts", spacious, basic decoration, but fine (could do with more... more

I've stayed at the Kariwak before with my husband but I wanted my teenage daughter and my nephew to experience true Tobagonian hospitality and I was not disappointed. Our two night visit was made possible by Charmaine who was so warm and welcoming on the phone I felt like we were old friends! Natalie in the restaurant offered unbelievable service!... more

This was our second visit to Tobago and the Kariwak was superb - excellent food and hospitality. The rooms are spacious and peaceful (we were quite glad that there were no TVs). Bottled water is not supplied, but an insulated jug and ice bucket are provided and Kariwak's own filtered water and ice is available 24/7 from the restaurant. The... more

I selected this hotel for a 3-day stay based on the TripAdvisor reviews. We had two Garden Rooms - 11A and 12 A - and all of us were quite disappointed. First of all, the walk to the rooms is through a long, badly paved, uncovered and unlit pathway. It had rained and our luggage and shoes became all covered... more

Booked with Caribtours for a good price travelling in December 2008 - No problems. I'm quite a cautious person, checking reviews and doing research before I go anywhere. The glowing reviews for Kariwak make you wonder if someone is being paid to write them! Well, Im not being paid and it was wonderful. All A grades to staff, food, rooms,... more

What's not to love about Kariwak? I stayed here for eight wonderful days and from the moment I arrived and was greeted by Suzette I knew I'd made the right selection. Kariwak's website is well done, but being there is absolutely amazing! I will return to Kariwak over and over and over again. First off, the staff is friendly and... more
