If you've had enough of the cathedrals of Burgos and Leon and want somewhere quiet to unwind, the Hotel Tres Coronas in Santo Domingo offers something for almost every body. The hotel sits presiding over the main square of this small town. Inside is dark, old wood, bejewelled occasionally with antique furniture, a stack of magazines here, a pile of books... More

Do not expect glamour or luxury, but it is noiseless and very clean. The only negative is the service, very weak in reception and restaurant. The room is wide in off. The bathroom is very rustic with courtain in the bath and very poor light. The airmchair is designed for tall people. The cousine is remarkable. Grat lamb and delicious... More

I have never stayed in the hotel, as I typically stay in Burgos capital, but knowing the owner, I am sure it is fine. I have been to this restaurant a number of times. Whenever I am in the area, I make a point of stopping by. The restaurant is located in the center of town, on the main road,... More

We made an effort to visit Santa Domingo de Silos, to stay at Hotel Treas Coronas, and to hear the Gregorian chants, When we arrived, we found no one at reception, and when we did, it was in practice, "no reception" -- not an "hola" to be heard. We climbed to our room, which was satisfactory, and overlooked the Plaza... More

This hotel had a lot of character, especially their restaurant, the reception area and the staircase. The room we had was ok but felt like it needed to be redecorated. The room itself smelt smokey and was cold. I also would have liked a little more assistance from the staff. On the first night, we went down for dinner, and... More

Hotel: Delightful building, stunning location, good value, very authentic building, parking. Restaurant fine, bar also (was playing host to a Grandmothers card meet the night I was there!). Town: Small, easy to wander around, worth a detour, regret that I didn't visit the Monastery.
