This is a nice hotel in a historic building, with picturesque interiors and views. But the restaurant experience was horrible, although judging by the looks of it, the hotel restaurant could have been the best one in town. Still, the rabo de toro was obviously defrosted, or rather, not defrosted enough for us to find a frozen layer in our... More

That' s a surprisingly nice place to stay.really pleasant place, with a nice view and remarkable facilities (from 17th century). Enjoyable SPA to relax and a good place to stay if you wish to visit wine production " bodegas" in the neighbour cities. Breakfast is good enough .

Lovely historic building - former convent, and in a good and convenient setting for the castle, museum etc. Public areas lovely - spacious and stylish. Bedrooms are, however another story - well the one we had anyway!! Room was small. with a window right in the corner, with a heavy curtain which made it difficult to open and to see... More

I am actually at this resort hotel right now, as we speak, on my way from Vigo, in Riax Baixas, Galicia through Ribiera del Duero and on to Rioja. This resort was formerly a "nunnery" and it is stuated a walk Way from an incredible, mideavil castle that is for all the world, right out of a children's book. It... More

What a fabulous hotel! we were here on a wine tour of the area with a group of friends and were made welcome from the moment we entered. The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds extra comfortable! The bathrom was well equiped and again clean and sparkly. Some of the rooms had ultra modern showers but I was... More

We were booked in here by our travel agent and after reading previous reviews I was a little apprehensive about what we would find. I needn't have been. The Convento Las Claras is a lovely hotel, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful right from the front desk ,to the cleaning ladies and the ladies in the breakfast room.... More

The staff, right from the front desk to the breakfast room and cleaning ladies were bright and cherry, helpful and most polite. A very quiet, romantic place to stay. No fear of not sleeping because of parties, etc. the rooms were large and the courtyard area for relaxing was so beautiful. Thank you for such a wonderful vacation!

This hotel is in a fine old convent building. It has been converted beautifully and the ambience is excellent. The room was good but the bathroom a bit basic for a hotel of this class. So far so good. The bar was nice but the barman a bit abrupt. The menu a little strange with mix and match options for... More

Although this hotel has potential as far as the building is concerned, as it is a converted convent which is situated very close to the amazing wineries of the Ribero del Duero, it is a nightmare. The room we had was small and extremely oppressive - there was a tiny window high up, but otherwise just walls. The breakfast was... More
