We spent two nights here. The room was large with a comfy bed but there was a wierd dust-catching canopy hung from the ceiling to the window. Bathroom fine but the tub had one of those half doors that couldn't open to allow for the maids to clean and you had to be in the tub to turn on the... More

I visited Penafiel with a friend in October, when the town seemed very quiet already. This was the most expensive hotel of our 10-day trip in the north of spain, so we had some expectations. The room came up to them, it was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was also very nice. We were told that the... More

The hotel is conveniently located in town next to N122 the national road crossing wine country. The lobby is a palette of colors and materials all fighting for integration. The doors are made of red glass that transfer an unsual sensation to the interior and distort the outside view. Once inside you can choose: stone, brick, glass, plain metal, resine,... More

We loved our stay here. The room was very comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel manager Javier was very nice to us. We felt like we were at home. The food at their restaurant was great. We will be back to this beautiful place.

Granted, the hotel is very pretty and the designer has certainly put his touches to the historic building - don't think the red sliding doors is such a good match, but they do lieve an impression! But thats where the fun stops: This hotel is build by wine makers - and it showes, the hotel is no more than a... More

We stayed one night after touring the Bodega Condado de Haza which is an Alejandro Fernandez Bodega. Loved how modern the hotel was. Extremely clean. Nice patio in the back to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Breakfast was delicious and included. Great location if touring Bodegas in Ribera del Duero.

This is a beatifully restored 19C flour mill, with lovely diverse landscaping and a pretty little garden out back. The inside is a rather common Spanish attempt to modernize the beautiful old building with tacky modern appointments, especially modern lighting devices. It doesn't work. There is also a very strange "bridge" between the two buildings made of steel that rattles... More

We stayed at Hotel AF Pequera for 2 nights whilst touring the wine region. The hotel decor was 'modern gone wrong' but the rooms were comfortable and decent-sized. Midweek there weren't many option in the area and only the hotel bar area was open and serving food. Despite the helpful reception staff, the bar staff were overworked and inattentive. We... More

Owned by the Pesquera wine family this is a hotel with a slightly quirky interior and colour scheme that provides very comfortable accommodation , well equipped rooms with all mod cons-- except no tea/coffee making facilities! WIFI throughout and a good restaurant although not well used during our visit. We did dine very well. A good buffet breakfast too .... More

There aren't enough words to explain how amazing AF Pesquera is. The hotel was amazing, but more significant was the amazing service we were given. Javier, one of the managers, was nothing short of spectacular. He took the time to show us his property and greeted us warmly at breakfast and throughout the day. Marta, one of the waitresses, took... More
