This former Monastery was converted only a few years ago. There are not many rooms but they are done tastefully and comfortably, with flat screen TV and aircon. Its in a very quiet location, good for the monks and those who wish to contemplate but it does mean you have to travel a distance for anything else - but don't... More

Used this hotel 3 times now as part of an organised motorcycle tour with MSL Tours, always found it ideal. Nothing around it, nothing else to do, great for an overnight stop en route through Spain. Rooms are very good, food is excellent, surroundings are like nothing else, make time for a walk around the Monastery. Very large G&T's.

This was such an amazing place to stay in August coming from Barcelona and the Costa Brava. If you fancy getting away from the hordes for some serious peace and quiet and R&R come here (though check in advance if there is a wedding as I imagine that could be less peaceful). Although the area may not be the obvious... More

Drove here from Barcelona after a long flight. Beautiful location and felt quite remote. Enjoyed the pool and the countryside. Great stop to refresh which was the reason we chose this location. Did not eat here but the menu looked interesting. Service was very kind.

The Monastery of Rueda has been turned into a 4-star hotel that is very classy and well-maintained. It includes a fine restaurant that is present in the Michelin Dining Guide, and the quality of food and service there meets the expectations. Staying at is hotel is living in a monument, whose historical parts can be visited as part of the... More

This is one of a suite of hotels revamped by the region of Aragon. Rather than let these buildings fall into ruin, they have turned them into high quality hotels, with beautifully designed rooms, but since they are all off the beaten track, they do not command the prices asked for in the Paradors. This monastery is situated in a... More

We arrived one afternoon intending to just look round the monastery. It was so interesting that we spent ages there and not having booked a hotel, enquired about staying the night. We were most impressed with the helpfulness of Javiez Aguayo, the manager. Room was good and looked out at the huge water-wheel with the River Ebro beyond. Dinner, wine... More

We stayed here yesterday and found it a delightful place to spend a night. The 2 gentlemen at Reception were extremely pleasant, attentive and helpful and gave us lots of useful information. As hotel guests, we were able to visit the monastery free of charge. We also had time to do the 2 short walks recommended by one of the... More

We have spent there a week end, just to escape from the noise of Madrid. The place is quiet, perfect for families. The staff is nice and friendly, very good the Restaurant "Bodega" at the ground floor. Room was correct and nice. Not bad at all for a little escape.

First of all, this is Aragon. If you were visiting the US for the first time, would you make straight for Iowa??? Probably not. You would want to see NYC, the Washington Monument, etc. Ditto for Spain. Best to see Madrid and Barcelona before you head to the arid moonscape of central Aragon. But when you are ready to see...
