Amazing lodge, extremely friendly staff, great view from your own balcony at your room on the water hole. Eating with a view constant on the water hole. Very nice breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great rooms with a very nice bath room. Great shower with warm water.

We stayed at the safari lodge for one night as part of a private safari tour booked through a local Kenyan guide. The location is a private reserve with water hole in the centre of Tsavo East Park. Unfortunately, as it was rainy season we didn’t see many animals in the area or at the water hole, except for some... More

We have visited dozens of lodges throughout Kenya over the years so thought we would give this one a try on the night of 15th March 2015. Because tourism is bad at the moment there were only about 6 rooms occupied and staff numbers were considerably reduced. We were however well looked after and the food was good. Our waiter... More

Visited mid-march, at the very tail end of the dry season. Chris the manager has water pumped into the waterhold making it the only water in miles!!! This attracts all wildlife. Chris was even good enough in jumping in our car to see lions on his reserve, where he could of easily made us pay to go with one of... More

Given room 18 right by the water hole so could sit on our veranda and watch the animals arriving to drink.left the curtains open and watched the elephants through the night from our bed! You really need to spend... More

With a watering hole only yards from the main verandah/dining area, you have a good opportunity to see game close up. When I visited, there were around five hundred buffalos and two herds of elephants, one of the elephants was charging a young buffalo - not to mention giraffe, zebra and even a lion at other times of the day/evening.... Ngutuni Lodge, on a private conservancy contiguous with Tsavo East National Park, is an ideal place to stop off between Nairobi and the Coast. The lodge is a 10 minute drive off the main highway, and feels deep in the Bush, with, as other reviewers have said, a central watering hole around which the hotel is built, with each room... More

On the way here I shared a childhood memory of seeing elephant chained up in a German zoo, and how I was looking forward to seeing them in their natural habitat. We arrived just after sundown, and were greeted with a warm wet towel to quickly cleanse our faces and refresh us, along with a drink. We walked through the... More

We stayed here for one night on our way from Nairobi to Mombasa and found it a very good point to break our journey. The rooms were lovely overlooking the water hole, but it would be best to come in the dry season to see more animals. It would be great if they could add a pool. It was difficult... More
